Living Benefits Peace of mind when you need it most All three riders can be added to your policy at no additional premium. There is a cost only if you receive an advance on the policy s death benefit. The amount you receive would be based on your life expectancy at the time you request the advance. The policy stays in force with a reduced benefit and reduced premiums after an accelerated benefit is paid. Receipt of accelerated benefit may affect eligibility for public assistance and may be taxable.
