Super made easy Whether you work full-time, part-time, contract or freelance, Media Super is the fund for you.

Freelance, full-time, contract or casual? If you work in Australia s print, media, entertainment or arts industries, Media Super works for you. Personal Sometimes it s easier to work through something face-toface. That s where our Business Development Managers come in (or rather, come to you). They ll answer your general questions, or talk you through the big picture over the phone or face to face whatever is easiest for you. Invests in you From supporting Australian film and television to the sponsorship of talent programs and awards we do all that we can to advance the print, media, entertainment and arts industries and create more work for our members. Investments to suit all investors Want to take control of your investments? With Media Super you can. Or, if you feel more comfortable leaving the investing to the experts, you can be confident with our MySuper authorised Balanced option, which has returned an average of 8.44% per year since inception.* Lower fees We want you to retire with as much super as you possibly can. To make sure that happens, we return all profits to our members, keep our fees low, and do everything we can to deliver you the highest possible return. Low-cost, great insurance cover Because your health, family and earning potential are your most valuable assets, Media Super gives eligible new members a default level of Death and Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) and Income Protection cover when they join. Our premiums are competitive and we make it straightforward for you to increase or decrease your level of cover. There for you in your working life and beyond These days, there s a whole lot more to super than just saving for retirement. Not only do we help you save, we can also help you plan for your life after work and make the most of our flexible pension options. * Based on returns of the super Balanced investment option from 1 January 1987 to 30 June 2018. These returns are net of investment fees and the indirect cost ratio only and do not reflect the administration fees. Historical returns before 1 July 2008 are based on former Print Super investment returns. Investment warning: Investment returns are not guaranteed and past performance gives no indication of future returns. Print. Media. Entertainment. Arts. 2

This means we do everything possible to keep the costs of managing your super low and ensure that all profits go back to members. Media Super s low fees Type of fee* Amount SIMPLE FACT Administration fee Investment fee Indirect cost ratio $65 p.a. ($1.25 per week) plus 0.10%p.a. of your account balance in administration costs Pre-mixed, Single Asset Class and Lifecycle options: 0.04% to 0.56% p.a. of your account balance, depending on your investment choice. Investment warning: Investment returns are not guaranteed and past performance gives no indication of future returns. Investing in you every day Through sponsorship, talent programs and awards, we invest in our members and the print, media, entertainment and arts industries. Media Super proudly sponsors industry awards like the Media Super National Print Awards, The Walkley Awards, The Helpmann Awards and The Screen Producers Australia Awards. Media Super movies As well as delivering returns for our members, supporting our member industries is one of our priorities. Under a landmark partnership with Fulcrum Media Finance, we provide a multi-million dollar cash-flow facility and also access to a pre-sale advance loan for the production of Australian film and television projects. It is important to note that this is funding for the pre-production stage of film and TV development only. Media Super does not invest in a movie s success at the box office. Some of our productions to date include: > Lion (starring Nicole Kidman) > The Railway Man (starring Nicole Kidman) > The Dressmaker (starring Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth) Just another way in which we re helping to generate work for our members. easy and low-cost Insurance Because your health, family and earning potential are your most valuable assets, Media Super gives eligible new members a default level of Death and Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) and Income Protection cover when they join. With an insurance cost per week for less than the price of a coffee, it just makes sense. Our premiums are incredibly competitive, and we make it straightforward for you to increase and decrease your level of cover. A range of options to suit your needs At Media Super, we believe that having insurance is important. We also recognise that in many cases it can be expensive. Our members have the option to purchase insurance through their super account, where the premiums come directly out of your super rather than from your weekly budget. Our members also find that the overall cost is significantly less than if they were to purchase it themselves. This is because we purchase insurance cover on behalf of our members, so we get it at a much lower cost. Media Super offers eligible members three types of cover* 1. Death only Pays you a lump sum of up to $5 million if you are terminally ill**, or to your beneficiaries or estate if you die. 2. Death and Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) Pays you a lump sum of up to $5 million for Death, and $2 million for TPD if you are terminally ill** or totally and permanently disabled, or to your beneficiaries or estate if you die. 3. Income Protection Replaces a percentage of your salary, including superannuation contributions, if you are unable to work due to illness, injury or disability. * Insurance cover is subject to eligibility and the terms and conditions of the policies between Media Super and the third party insurer. See the Insurance Guide for further details. ** The Terminal Illness benefit is the lesser of: the insured death benefit; and $2.5 million. Automatic cover Because we believe that insurance is important, we automatically provide you with a default level of Death & TPD insurance when you join Media Super, providing you meet our eligibility criteria. The table below provides a guide to the automatic level of cover and its weekly cost.
