United States Department of the Interior NATIONAL PARK SERVICE Midwest Region 601 Riverfront Drive Omaha, Nebraska 68102 City of Treynor and Treynor KKAD25 Committee RE: Tristan s Trail: A City-Wide Walkability Improvement Project The National Park Service (NPS) is pleased to announce an award of technical assistance to the Tristan s Trail: A City-Wide Walkability Improvement Project. Assistance from the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program will be provided during the 2018 federal fiscal year, which begins October 1, 2018, and ends September 30, 2019. I will consider our working relationship to be a partnership in which I work with you, not for you (as a consultant might). NPS technical assistance is represented by the time and resources that staff invests in each project. I encourage you and your partners to use the value of my technical assistance to leverage additional project resources and as a match for non-federal grants. Volunteers are needed! Treynor has been selected for the Community Visioning Program (see previous page) and The National Park Service s Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program. Both focus on the community (citizens) input to develop plans based from your ideas about community design and enhancement. 2019 Community Visioning needs volunteers to participate in 1 hour sessions on March 30th. Please Contact Kelly Groskurth 712-487-3787 or Doug Wehring at 712-487-3871 to participate. Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program volunteers needed to serve on committee to develop plans to create a walkable community. Contact Kelly Groskurth 712-487-3787 to volunteer. Help design your community!
