RESOLUTION NO. 2011-272 Adopted by the Sacramento City Council May 12, 2011 AMENDMENT TO THE TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT CLAIM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010/11 BACKGROUND: A. The Transportation Development Act (TDA) of 1974 allows two percent of Local Transportation Fund apportionment to be made available exclusively for pedestrian and bicycle facilities. B. In the 2010-2015 Capital Improvement Program Budget (Resolution 2010-388), City Council authorized funds for maintenance and repair of existing bikeways and development of new bikeways throughout the City of Sacramento. C. On October 12, 2010, City Council adopted Resolution 2010-587 approving the FY2010/11 Transportation Development Act (TDA) claim for reimbursement in the amount of $218,939. D. In February 2011, the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) revised the amount of the FY2010/11 claim reimbursement from $218,939 to $270,420. E. Sacramento Area Council of Governments requires a claim package be amended and resubmitted in order to receive the allocation. BASED ON THE FACTS SET FORTH IN THE BACKGROUND, THE CITY COUNCIL RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2. The TDA claim for reimbursement of the costs for maintenance and repair of various bicycle and pedestrian facilities in the City for Fiscal Year 2010/11 is amended from $218,939 to $270,420. The City Manager, or City Manager's designee, is authorized to execute and submit the amended TDA claim in the amount of $270,420 for Fiscal Year 2010/11 to the Sacramento Area Council of Governments for approval and reimbursement to the TDA fund, Fund 2013.
