THE STATE COMMITTEE OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN ON STATISTICS Average nominal monthly wages January-December 2018 (preliminary data) In January-December 2018, the average nominal monthly wages in the Republic of Uzbekistan was 1 822.2 thousand soums (including wage allowances, remuneration, incentive payments, compensation payments and unpaid time, as well as income tax withheld from individuals, social insurance contributions and to the trade union fund) and increased, compared to the same period of 2017, by 25.0%. In this area, the average nominal monthly wages amounted to 1,396.4 thousand soums and increased by 20.4%, compared to the same period of 2017. In industry, 614 enterprises employ 452.8 thousand people (a share of the total number of employees in the republic was 17.4%), the payroll reached 14,839.1 billion soums (a share in the payroll in the country was 26, 0%). The average nominal monthly wage was equal to 2731.1 thousand soums and increased by 30.6%, compared to the same period of 2017.

In the sphere of health and social services in 1408 establishments employed 432.7 thousand people (a share in the total number of employees in the republic was 16.6%), the payroll reached 6090.4 billion soums (a share in the payroll of the republic 10.7%), the average nominal monthly wages reached 1,173.1 thousand soums and increased by 19.8%., compared with the same period of 2017.
