ANALYTICAL STUDY RELATED TO SURVEY AND CREATING AWARENESS AMONGST THE INDIAN CITIZENS RELATED TO SWATCH BHARAT ABHIYAN Prof. SAYLI DESHMUKH 1 Dr POOJA DESHMUKH 2 1 Assistant Professor, MGM Institute of Management 2 Associate Professor, MGM Institute of Management ABSTRACT India Mission and abbreviated as SBA or SBM for Swatch Bharat Mission ) is a national campaign by the Government of India, covering 4,041 statutory cities and towns, to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country. The campaign was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Raj hat, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself cleaned the road. It was performed in remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi's words. It is India s biggest ever cleanliness drive and 3 million government employees and school and college students of India participated in this event. The mission was started by Prime Minister Modi, who nominated nine famous personalities for the campaign, and they took up the challenge and nominated nine more people and so on. It has been carried forward since then with people from all walks of life joining it. With effect from 1 April 1999, the Government of India restructured the Comprehensive Rural Sanitation Programmed and launched the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) which was later (on 1 April 2012) renamed Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA). On 2 October 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swatch Bharat Mission, which aims to eradicate open defecation by 2019, thus restructuring the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan. This campaign aims to accomplish the vision of a 'Clean India' by 2 October 2019, the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. Construction of exclusive village sanitary complexes for women providing facilities for hand pumping, bathing, sanitation and washing on a selective basis where there is not adequate land or space within houses and where village panchayats are willing to maintain the facilities. Intensive campaign for awareness generation and health education to create a felt need for personal, household and environmental sanitation facilities. The government on Monday announced allocation of Rs 9,000 crore for Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan, the country biggest drive to improve sanitation and cleanliness, especially in rural India. This subject was very close to the heart of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. The government has allocated Rs 9,000 crore for SBA, Union finance minister Arun Jaitley said while presenting the general Budget for 2016-17 in Lok-ashha. Research Methodology: a) Research Design Visited the people across Harsul, Padegaon and gathered information required per the questionnaire. The result is significant at p <0.05. Findings Maximum people are aware about Swachha Bharat Abhiyan. Maximum people have separate solid waste management system at home. The Indian government spend 9000 core on SBA policy. The 75% people participated in the SBA policy. I found that the India could be on of the clean country amongst the developed country in hygiene & cleanliness till 2020. Suggestion I will suggest that people should follow the rule about Swachha Bharat Abhiyan strictly. It is our responsibility to clean our surrounding area.
