Katz s Deli Grand Central Terminal Cathedral of St. John the Divine DAY 1 SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8 NEW YORK CITY (D) Today we transfer to the airport for our flight to New York City! Upon arrival, we'll meet our guide and head to our NYC hotel, The Millennium Broadway, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan and within walking distance to Times Square, Broadway theaters, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. This evening our group will take a short stroll to the famous Carmine's for dinner. Carmine s is a lively and fun Italian restaurant that serves delicious fare family-style. It s the perfect way for everyone to get to know one another! Note: The airport location and airline will be confirmed no sooner than 9 months before departure. DAY 2 MONDAY, DECEMBER 9 NEW YORK CITY (BD) After breakfast at the hotel, we ll meet our guide and coach for today's sightseeing in Midtown Manhattan, including Times Square, the Theater District, Fifth Avenue, the East Side and some shopping! In a session at a rehearsal studio in the Theater District, we will have the opportunity to sit and talk to a performer from one of Broadway s current shows. This session will include personal success stories, career moments and insight into his or her life as a performer. Our time here will also include a private performance from the artist. Next, take New York s restless energy and inventiveness, add its distinctive brand of brassy elegance, its delight in impressing visitors, and flair for showmanship, and you have Grand Central Terminal! Still the busiest rail station in the US, our guide will share fascinating stories about the station before we take time to explore the Grand Central Market, well-known for its unique gifts. From here, we will take a stroll past the elaborately-designed store windows of Fifth Avenue before heading to Central Park to explore the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, where local foods, artisans and handcrafted gifts abound. After some free time to refresh or shop some more, we will enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant followed by orchestra seating at a hit Broadway show! DAY 3 TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10 NEW YORK CITY (BL) Enjoy breakfast this morning before meeting our guide and motorcoach for sightseeing in Lower Manhattan, including Little Italy, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, the World Trade Center and the Lower East Side. One World Observatory is positioned on levels 100, 101 and 102 of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, the 1,776-foot-tall One World Trade Center. One World Observatory provides unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites and the surrounding waters. Next is the Lower East Side neighborhood which still reflects its immigrant history with a truly multi-cultural blend of residents. In the mid and late 1800s, the massive influx of immigrants through Ellis island came to the Lower East Side where the tenement buildings housed people from all over the world. The food and cultures sometimes collided gracefully, while other times they did not. We will tour this neighborhood before a great lunch at Katz s Deli, the oldest Jewish deli in America (1888) where they still do things the way they were originally done. Lunch today will consist of sandwiches piled high with corned beef, pastrami and other delicacies. Following lunch, we will have time at the National 9/11 Memorial for reflection. Our guide will lead us around the area, describing the renaissance of the neighborhood from before, during and after 9/11. We ll then visit the National 9/11 Museum, which is a moving and powerful testament to survival and rebirth. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to do some shopping, enjoy the nightlife or simply relax.

We will gather as a group after a full day and have dinner at Café Un Deux Trois, a delightful French restaurant that is a local favorite frequented by actors and politicians. Afterward, we will enjoy another New York tradition the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular! Orchestra seating awaits for this warm and amazing spectacle featuring the Rockettes. DAY 5 THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12 HOME (B) We say goodbye to our hotel after breakfast as we board our motorcoach for a tour of the Upper West Side before heading to the airport. The Upper West Side is home to many famous actors and singers as well as many beautiful houses, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Central Park, Harlem and more. We will stop at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the world s largest cathedral and one of the five largest church buildings in the world. This massive Gothic Revival cathedral has been continually under construction since 1892. The tour will highlight the building s art, history and cross-cultural references.
