Dear users of statistical information, The National Bureau for Statistics (NBS) offers you the Catalogue of statistical publications, 2008. The Catalogue contains detailed information (description, language, term of issue, price) about statistical publications which will be issued in 2008. During the year there will be issued 7 annual publications (of which 3 will be available on the CD-ROM), 3 quarterly publications and one monthly publication. As compared to the previous year the following publications will be published for the first time: National accounts, Women and men, Children of Moldova, Health protection, Educational system, Migration of labour force. The issue of the publications will be announced on the NBS website www.statistica.md. In the catalogue there are shown the preliminary prices of the statistical publications, which can be modified depending on the real cost of their printing. The price includes the mail charge. We hope that the Catalogue will serve as a guide to statistical products offered by NBS and will greatly facilitate their choice and use. A N N U A L P U B L I C A T I O N S EXTERNAL TRADE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA The publication contains summary statistical time series for 2006-2007 on export, import, trade balance for total, by continents, countries, groups of countries, commodity groups according the Nomenclature of Goods, the Standard International Trade Classification and Big Economic Categories, and also by countriescommodity groups. There are presented in this edition also value indices for total and by groups of countries, the annual variation by countries, by groups of countries and by commodity groups, unit value and physical volume indices on exported and imported goods for total, by countries, by groups of countries and by commodity groups. In order to ensure the accessibility and the adequate interpretation of the data, in the current issue methodological notes on the contents of indicators and methods of their assessment and also information concerning data sources are presented. Price: EUR 6 AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITY OF HOUSEHOLDS AND FARMS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA The publication presents the results of the agricultural activity survey in 2007 of households and farms that own land plots with the area less than 0 ha. Information not only on the sown areas, their structure, number of livestock and the volume of agricultural production, but also data regarding the revenues obtained from the agricultural activity, the size and the structure of consumptions and expenditures for plant and animal production, the agricultural production usage is presented. This publication contains the description of the main methodological principles and the analysis of the survey results and outputs for 2005-2007, in total for the country, by categories of producers surveyed. A N N U A L P U B L I C A T I O N S POPULATION AND DEMOGRAPHIC PROCESSES IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA The statistical compilation contains statistical data about the administrativeterritorial division of the country and statistical data series on the number and demographic structure of the population, as well as its natural movement (births, deaths, marriages, divorces) and migratory (international) movement. The information about the births is presented in accordance with the new-birth s sex, live-birth order, age group of parents and mother s marital status. The data about the deceased is reflected by age, sex and main causes of death. The publication also includes demographic generalizing indicators of the population s reproduction processes total fertility rate, life expectancy at birth. The main demographic indicators of the Republic of Moldova are presented in comparison with other countries.
