Furthermore, he has gained extensive experience in asset management. Jochen specializes in cross-border activities of regulated entities, in particular the promotion of financial instruments. As a former compliance officer he has gained considerable insight into the day-to-day business of banking institutions. Jochen has set up fund structures inside and outside Germany and advised asset managers in relation to their buy-side and sell-side activities. Richard s practice encompasses all forms of FCA investigations and disciplinary proceedings, both regulatory and criminal. Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons Richard spent several years working in the Enforcement Division of the FSA (as it then was) with a particular focus on market abuse, insider dealing and wholesale firms systems and controls. Richard led the investigation which resulted in the FSA s first prosecution for insider dealing (R v McQuoid and Melbourne).
