Board Members: Jill Bartlett, Candace Carda, Melissa Curtis, Melissa (Missy) Hanson, Jennifer Lewis Kannegieter, Jeff Hegle, and Eric Olson, Superintendent Also present: District Administrators and community guests. Call to Order School board chair Jill Bartell called the meeting to order at 6:00pm, 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Approval of the Organizational Agenda Approved by: Jennifer Lewis Kannegieter Seconded by Missy Hanson 4. Organization of the Board A. Election of the Chairperson Jeff Hegle nominated Jill Bartlett for School Board Chair. Jill Bartlett asked for any other nominations, following her request, nominations ceased. 4. Presentation of Donations to the District Eric Olson, Superintendent presented the following donations for board approval. A. $ 500.00 for a subscription to an online Language Arts intervention program for 4 th -grade students at Little Mountain Elementary, from the American Legion. Student Representative Report Avery Hilgart High School Student Representative reported on the following events at the high school; winter sports updates, student and staff participation for the blood drive, the one-act performance and a band concert that are coming up at the end of January, and senior college letters of acceptance are posted. 6. First Reading of Policies Eric Olson, Superintendent presented the following policies for board review; the polices will be brought back at a future meeting for board approval. A. Pinewood Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Bid Approval Tina Burkholder, Director of Business Services requested board approval to accept the bid from Rochon Corporation for $1,522,000.00, for the PW HVAC project, the project is projected to start this summer. Pinewood Elementary Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Facilities Maintenance Bond Pre-Sale Report Tina Burkholder, Director of Business Services presented the Pre-Sale Bond report prepared by Ehlers. The bond sale of $4,465,000 will take place the week of January 21, 2019. 9. Investment & Cash Report - Tina Burkholder, Director of Business Services shared two reports; Investment as of 12-31-2018 and Cash & Investment Chart for 201819. She reported there are minimal investments at this time due to January bond payments and will look at investing excess funds in the next month or two. 10.
