The Citizenship-by-Investment Program of The Economic Citizenship Program of the Commonwealth of Dominica was established in 1991. The program is based on the statute which means the granted citizenship may not be revoked no matter of changes in the governmental executives or policy.* The program is defined in the constitution and laws of Dominica: Section 101 of the Constitution and Section 8 of the Citizenship Act, Chapter 1:10 of the Revised Laws and Section 20 (1) of the Citizenship Act 1991 You and your family obtain an irrevocable citizenship for life with no need to reside in the country and most importantly no need to give up your current nationality. INVESTMENT OPTIONS The citizenship program of the Common Wealth of Dominica requires making an economic contribution to the country. In exchange, the applicants and their families are granted full citizenship. Citizenship can be obtained through two different forms: Option 1 Government Fund A minimum financial contribution to the Government Fund in the amount of USD 100,000 for a single applicant. The government fund was established through the economic citizenship programme as one component of a national capital mobilization portfolio towards an ultimate goal of national development for Dominica. Option 2 Real Estate Investment To qualify for citizenship of Dominica via the Real Estate Option under the Citizenship by Investment Program, an applicant must purchase authorized real estate to the minimum value of USD 200,000.

A real estate property needs to be reserved through a sales and purchase agreement at this point. Week 4-8 STEP 2 - Once the file is ready client pays Background Checks Fees and documents are submitted to the Government. Week 8-12 STEP 3 - Once the results of Background Checks are reviewed by the Government, and the application was successfully approved, the CBIU will issue a letter instructing you to complete the payment of the real estate property and the Government Processing Fees. Week 12-16 STEP 5 - Upon citizenship approval the client is issued a Certificate of Naturalization and we will obtain passport/s within 1 week. Please note that this is a guideline as processing times may vary depending on each individual case and the Government policy. This will be not the legal responsibility of Canam.
