The Carson Roberds Group at Morgan Stanley Welcome How do you protect what you have earned? Have your investment selections been given careful reflection? Are your children ready to manage the money they will inherit and will having that money cause them problems? These are the kinds of questions that we help our clients work through every day. As a highly experienced team of portfolio managers, financial planners and concierge-level service associates, our goal is to figure out where you are financially and where you want to be then bridge the gap. We are a four-member team with almost 100 years of combined experience. Unlike some Financial Advisors who farm out client assets to third parties, as Certified Portfolio Managers we manage the majority of your assets personally. Why does this matter? Because we can offer complete transparency into what you re investing in, and most importantly, why. We love the complexity of evaluation and analysis that goes into choosing equities, fixed income and alternative investments that will help you be most effective in reaching your goals. Working Together We build wealth management plans from the ground up. This means that we start with the foundation you. Before we talk about investments, we want a deep understanding of you and your goals. What have you worked hard to achieve? What keeps you up at night? What gets you excited about getting up in the morning? How do you envision life when you retire? We ask these questions and more. Then we create a financial plan tailored to fit your unique needs a virtual road map that we monitor and adjust as needed. Deeply committed to a high level of communication with clients, we plan regularly scheduled meetings to review objectives, mitigate risks, and ensure that your financial plan stays aligned with your vision for the future. We believe it s important for you to understand your plan; to know where your money is invested and why those investment vehicles were chosen. We also coordinate with your attorneys and CPAs for a truly comprehensive wealth management strategy. With this powerful combination, we provide a financial strategy that s not only coordinated, but comprehensive. It comes down to this: we believe in making financial planning clear and simple. We want you to be comfortable with the process and confident about the decisions you make each step of the way today, tomorrow and beyond. 4 MORGAN STANLEY
Our Clients Our clients are discerning professionals, business owners and families who need help managing and ultimately passing along money to their children. Many have been with us for a long time. In fact, we re honored to serve the third and fourth generation of some clients, guiding them through important life stages just as we did for their parents, grandparents, and in some cases, their great grandparents. We treat you like family because, with families of our own, we understand the financial issues people face during all stages of life. With spouses, children, aging parents and extended family members there can be a lot to manage. You want the best for everyone, and need to balance today s interests with the well-being of your family s financial future. THE CARSON ROBERDS GROUP 5
Our Passion We are passionate about research, analysis and portfolio construction. We study all factors that contribute to our investment selections. We analyze the markets, the Fed minutes, interest rates and global trends. Of course, with Morgan Stanley behind us, we have access to some of the best research and investment options in the industry. We manage multiple portfolios and utilize a core and satellite approach. We utilize Tactical Asset Allocation Portfolios for your core holding, and then custom-blend some of our Equity Portfolios to complement your core portfolio. As with many portfolio managers, our goal is to outperform the respective index. However, we also factor in the mathematics of a loss and have developed a strategy that will help to exit the market in longer bear markets. By doing this, our strategy seeks to outperform by missing the big downswings in the markets. This can potentially lower the volatility of our portfolios, which is crucial for many of our clients. We also help clients enhance returns and add diversification with alternative investments such as private equity, private credit and private real estate. Whatever your investment strategy, we are thorough, methodical and constantly evaluate your progress against our predetermined goals. 6 MORGAN STANLEY

All About You Being smart with money is about your sons and daughters. It s about your family being OK for the long run. It s about putting your money to work in the best ways possible so someday you don t have to work so hard. It s serious stuff. We know that people are trusting us with their life s work. That s why we like to host client appreciation events. Basically, it s a good excuse for everyone to get together. We invite all of our clients, and sometimes we ll even cook (yes, Sanford is quite the grill master). Often, we ll host discussions on topics you or your loved ones may be going through. Topics might include: Wills, Trusts, End-of-Life Decisions Politics and Investments Medicare and Social Security Annual Economic Update Whatever the subject matter, we like to keep you informed on relevant topics while at the same time letting you know that we are here for you. After all, you have worked hard to build a meaningful life. You deserve a team who is as invested in your future as you are. Your Financial Road Map Achieving and maintaining financial independence requires forethought. Financial planning is a process of articulating life goals in a qualitative fashion, plotting those goals on a timeline, and then determining what is required to bring them to life. It also means proactively looking for ways that things can go wrong and coming up with possible solutions. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. JOHN WOODEN THE CARSON ROBERDS GROUP 9

Each of these ingredients comes together to foster the underlying support of a successful, long-term relationship: Trust. We work with your specialists to help them understand your priorities, making certain they are reflected in whatever outcome you wish to achieve. ATTORNEY PRIVATE BANKING SPECIALIST 10 MORGAN STANLEY
