STATISTICAL REVIEW FOR 2015 Federal State Statistics Service presents statistical review of social and economic situation of the Russian Federation for 2015. Population. According to estimate the resident population size of the Russian Federation as of January 1 2016 was 146.5 million persons. Since the beginning of the year the population of Russia increased by 278.7 thousand persons or by 0.19 % (on the corresponding date of the previous year there also was an increase in population by 333.7 thousand persons or 0.23 %). In 2015 number of births exceeded the number of deaths by 32.7 thousand persons and the natural increase rate amounted to 0.2. Population increase reported in 2015 comprised of natural and migration increase. Whereby, migration increase amounted to 88 % of the total population increase. Employment and unemployment. Size of the economically active population for 2015 was 76.6 million persons or 52.5 % of the total population of the country, including 72.3 million persons or 94.4 % of economically active population were employed in the economy and 4.3 million persons (5.6 had no occupation but were actively looking for a job (according to the methodology of International Labor Organization they are classified as unemployed). At the end of December 1001 thousand persons were registered by the State Employment Services as unemployed. Living standards. The welfare of population is primarily determined by the money income. Per capita monthly money income * for 2015 amounted to 30306 roubles per month and has risen in comparison with the corresponding period of 2014 by 10.0 %, while money expenditures and per capita savings came to 30545 roubles and increased by 11.9 % respectively. Real disposable money income of population (income excluding compulsory payments corrected by the consumer price index) for 2015* decreased in comparison to the corresponding period of 2014 by 4.0 %. In the structure of money income of population for 2015 * compared to the corresponding period of 2014 the share of remuneration (income of employees), social payments and income from property increased, while the income from entrepreneurial activity decreased. 76.3 % of money incomes of population* were spent to purchase goods and services, for compulsory payments and dues 11.2 %, for savings 13.3 % and for foreign currency purchasing 4.2 %. In 2015*, 10% of well-off population received 30.3 % of the total money income and 10% of the less secured population 1.9 % (for the corresponding period of 2014 30.6 % and 1.9 % respectively). Average nominal accrued monthly wage for 2015 accounted for 33981 roubles and has risen compared to the corresponding period of 2014 by 4.8 %, real accrued wages dropped 9.3 %. Average pension* in 2015 amounted to 11986.0 roubles and compared to the previous period increased by 11.2 %, real pensions for 2015 decreased by 3.8 % compared to 2014. Gross Domestic Product ** for 2015 at current prices made 80412.5 billion roubles and its volume index compared to 2014 amounted to 96.3 %. Index of industrial production *** during 2015 in comparison with the corresponding period of 2014 comprised 96.6%. Production index for mining and quarrying in 2015 amounted to 100.3 %, including for mining of energy producing minerals 100.0 and for mining except of energy producing minerals 102.2 %. * Preliminary data. ** First estimate. Statistical review Production index for manufacturing for 2015 compared to the corresponding period of 2014 made 94.6 %. The growth of production output was observed for the following economic activities: manufacture of chemical products - 106.3%; manufacture of food products, including beverages, and tobacco - 102.0; manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products - 100.3%. Decrease of production output was observed for economic activities: manufacture of wood and wood products - 96.6%; manufacture of rubber and plastics products - 96.3; other manufacturing - 94.0; manufacture of pulp, paper and paper products; publishing and printing - 93.7; manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products - 93.5; manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products - 92.2; manufacture of electrical, electronic and optical equipment - 92.1; manufacture of transport equipment - 91.5; manufacture of machinery and equipment - 88.9; manufacture of leather, leather products and footwear - 88.6; manufacture of textiles and textile products - 88.3%. Production index for the activity «Electricity, gas and water supply» for 2015 compared to the corresponding period of 2014 accounted for 98.4 %. Agriculture. According to estimates, the volume of agricultural production of all producers (agricultural enterprises, peasant (farm) enterprises and individual entrepreneurs, household farms) in 2015 at actual prices amounted to 5037.2 billion roubles or 103.0 % to the comparable estimate of the corresponding period of 2014. Gross harvest of grain in the Russian Federation in 2015 made 104.8 million ton (weight after processing), which was 0.5 million ton (by 0.5 %) below the level of the previous year. In 2015 gross harvest of sugar beet increased (by 16.5%) along with sunflower seeds (by 9.5%) due to an increase in crop yields (by 4.8% and 8.4% correspondingly), and was conditioned by the expansion in sugar beet harvested acreage (by 11.2%) and sunflower (by 1.6%) compared to the previous year. The gross harvest of potatoes and vegetables was higher than last year s level (by 6.8% and 4.2% correspondingly) for the most part due to the increase in yield. Production of flax-fibre increased (by 21.6%), due both to the increase of land in crops (by 20.2%) and increase in yield (by 1.1%). According to preliminary data in 2015 in enterprises of all types production of cattle and poultry for slaughter (live weight) amounted to 13.5 million ton (104.2 % to the level of 2014), production of milk 30.8 million ton (100.0 %), of eggs 42.5 billion pieces (101.6 %). Construction. The value of works performed for the economic activity Construction for 2015 amounted to 5945.5 billion roubles, 93.0 % to the level of 2014. During 2015 organizations of all ownership types have put in place 1169.4 thousand new flats of total floor space of 83.8 million sq. m. Transport and communication. The freight turnover of transport for 2015 amounted to 5090.5 billion ton-kilometers (100.2 % of the level of 2014), of which railway 2305.9 (100.2 %), motor 232.5 (94.2 %), inland water 62.6 (86.5%), maritime 39.8 (124.1 %), air 5.4 (105.8 %), pipeline transport 2444.2 billion ton-kilometers (100.9 %). Passenger turnover of public transport for 2015 accounted for 465.8 billion passenger-kilometers (94.6 % of the level of 2014), of which railway - 120.6 (92.8 %), motor transport 117.8 (97.9 %), air transport 226.9 billion passenger-kilometers (94.0%). The value of service rendered by all operators of communication in 2015 was 1668.9 billion roubles (100.9 % to the corresponding period of the previous year). In 2015 compared to the corresponding period of 2014 the volume of documentary telecommunication, postal and special communications, radio and television services have increased. As of January 1 2016 the number of user terminals of moving radiotelephone (cellular) communication reached 284.0 million. Trade. Retail trade turnover in 2015 amounted to 27575.7 billion roubles and made in terms of trade mass 10.0 % less than in 2014. In the structure of retail trade turnover for 2015 the share of non-food products amounted to 51.4 % (53.0% - in 2014). Market services rendered to population.* Market services rendered to population in 2015 accounted for 7882.2 billion roubles. The volume index in comparison to 2014 made 98.0 %. Housing communal services took the first place in the structure of market services rendered to population in 2015, and its share reached 27.5 % of the total volume of market services. Finances. According to data of the Federal Treasury of Russia the consolidated budget including extra-budget state funds for 2015 was executed with the deficit of 2813.7 billion roubles. Statistical review In the revenue structure the largest share accounted for: tax on profit of organizations 2599.0 billion roubles or 9.8%, income tax for individuals 2807.8 billion roubles or 10.6 %, insurance benefits on compulsory social security 5347.3 billion roubles or 20.2 %, VAT on goods (works, services) sold on the territory of the Russian Federation 2448.5 billion roubles or 9.2 %, tax, dues and regular payment for natural resources 3250.7 billion roubles or 12.3 %, revenue from external economic activity 3295.3 billion roubles or 12.4 %. In the structure of expenditures of the consolidated budget for 2015 on social and cultural arrangements were allocated 16727.1 billion roubles or 57.1 % of total expenditures on objectives affecting the state as a whole respectively 1838.8 billion roubles and 6.3 %, on the national defense 3182.7 billion roubles and 10.9 %, on state security and law enforcement 2072.2 billion roubles and 7.1 %, national economy 3774.4 billion roubles and 12.9%. Execution of the federal budget in accordance with data from the Federal Treasury of Russia in 2015 was executed with the deficit of 1955.2 billion roubles. Revenue amounted to 13655.7 billion roubles, expenditures 15610.9 billion roubles. Money supply (M2) according to the Bank of Russia as of January 1 2016 accounted for 35809.2 billion roubles and increased in comparison with the beginning of 2015 by 11.5 %. Investments. In 2015 organizations of all types of ownership had used 14555.9 billion roubles of investments in fixed capital, which is 91.6 % to the level of 2014. The share of investments (excluding small enterprises) at own expenses amounted to 51.1 %, attracted funds 48.9%, including 9.7 % - from the federal budget, funds of individuals and legal entities attracted by developer organizations shared construction 3.0 %. In 2015 total volume of financial investments of organizations (excluding small businesses, budgetary institutions, banks, insurance companies and non-state pension funds) amounted to 127.1 trillion roubles. Long-term financial investments amounted to 13.8 trillion roubles (10.9 % of the total volume), short-term 113.3 trillion roubles (89.1% of the total volume). Prices and tariffs. Consumer price index for 2015 (December to December of 2014) comprised 112.9 %, including for food products 114.0 %, non-food products 113.7 %, for services 110.2 %. At the end of December 2015 the cost of the fixed basket of consumer goods and services in average for Russia used for interregional comparison of purchasing power of population accounted for 13404.3 roubles per month. Compared to the end of November it's value has gown by 0.5 % (as of beginning of year by 11.0 %). Producer price indices for selected sectors of the economy for 2015 (December to December of 2014) were as follows: for manufactured goods 110.7 %, for agricultural production 108.5, for investment purpose products 110.3, index of freight transportation tariffs - 111.5 %. The producer price index for Electricity, gas and water supply for 2015 compared to December of 2014 amounted to 109.3 %. External economic activity *. The external trade turnover for 2015 reached the value of 525.8 billion US dollars, including exports of goods 343.4 billion US dollars, imports 182.4 billion US dollars. Foreign trade balance (netting) was positive 161.0 billion US dollars. In comparison with 2014 external trade turnover decreased by 33.0 %, exports decreased by 31.0 %, imports decreased by 26.4 %. The share of the other countries in total external trade turnover comprises 87.5 %. Fuel and energy products prevailed in commodity structure of exports (62.9 %).
