SUMMARY OF MAIN NEWS AND FINDINGS EU-28 P&B Consumption slightly increased of around 1.5% to 80.458m tonnes in 2014 in comparison to 2013. EU-28 P&B Production stayed almost the same and was 91.146m tonnes in 2014 and still prevails over the Consumption. The biggest P&B consumers in EU-28 in 2014: Germany (+2,1% to 19.934m tonnes) Italy (+2,3% to 9.895m tonnes) UK (-4,6% to 9.326m tonnes) France (+0,2% to 8.954m tonnes) The biggest P&B producers in EU-28 in 2014: Germany (+0,7% to 22.540m tonnes) Sweden (-3,4% to 10.420m tonnes) Finland (-1,7% to 10.410m tonnes) Italy (+2,1% to 8.820m tonnes) EU-28 P&B Consumption per capita was 135,6 kilogrammes in 2014, the highest being in Belgium (317 kilogrammes) and the lowest in Luxembourg and Romania (39 kilogrammes).

SUMMARY OF MAIN NEWS AND FINDINGS EU-28 RCP Effective Consumption very slightly decreased of around -0.1% to 47.906m tonnes in 2014 in comparison to 2013. EU-28 RCP Collection stayed almost the same and was 55.746m tonnes in 2014 and still prevails over the Effective Consumption. The biggest RCP consumers in EU-28 in 2014: Germany (+0,8% to 16.623m tonnes) France (+4,9% to 5.400m tonnes) Spain (-1,8% to 5.053m tonnes) Italy (-0,3% to 4.700m tonnes) The biggest RCP collectors in EU-28 in 2014: Germany (-1,7% to 15.093m tonnes) UK (+2,7% to 8.096m tonnes) France (+1,0% to 7.316m tonnes) Italy (+0,1% to 6.070m tonnes) EU-28 RCP Effective Consumption per capita was 65,6 kilogrammes in 2014 and the EU-28 RCP Collection per capita was 81,6 kilogrammes.

SUMMARY OF MAIN NEWS AND FINDINGS These figures include intra EU trade. In 2014, the Member States of the EU-28 can show an increase of their RCP exports (+2,0% to 21.362m tonnes). The imports of RCP decreased by -1,0% to 13.607m tonnes in the same period. The biggest RCP exporters in 2014: The biggest RCP importers in 2014: UK France Netherlands Germany (+4,3% to 4.450m tonnes) (+25,0% to 2.860m tonnes) (-6,8% to 2.470m tonnes) (-12,7% to 2.380m tonnes) Germany Netherlands Spain Austria (+0,4% to 3.910m tonnes) (-7,8% to 2.115m tonnes) (-2,6% to 1.510m tonnes) (-4,1% to 1.180m tonnes)
