TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROMOTION Mega Start 2 1. The Promotion of Mega Start 2 ( Promotion ) is applicable in all transaction outlets registered by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. in Vietnam. 2. Eligible products during the promotion period: HSBC Visa Platinum credit card HSBC Visa Gold credit card HSBC Visa Classic credit card issued by HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. ( HSBC ) in Vietnam ( Cards or HSBC Visa Credit Cards ). 3. Credit Cards which are not eligible to participate in this Promotion include: HSBC Premier MasterCard Credit Cards HSBC Business Credit Cards HSBC Staff Credit Cards 4. Promotion Period: from 12 March 2018 to 10 August 2018, both days inclusive ( Promotion Period ) 5. Offers for new HSBC Visa credit cardholders: Offer 1: Customers who submit their new HSBC Visa credit card application and have their cards approved by HSBC no later than 17 August 2018 ( Eligible New Cardholders ) are eligible for Offer 1 as defined below. a. An eligible Primary Platinum Cardholder will be awarded VND 2,000,000 cash back for customer with a total accumulative spend of at least VND 4,000,000 within 60 (sixty) days of the card issuance date. Transactions must be posted in HSBC systems no later than 16/07/2018 (Phase 1) or 23/10/2018 (Phase 2). b. An eligible Primary Classic/Gold Cardholder will be awarded: VND 1,000,000 cash back if he/she has a total accumulative spend of at least VND 2,000,000 within 60 (sixty) days of the card issuance date. Transactions must be posted in HSBC systems no later than 16/07/2018 (Phase 1) or 23/10/2018 (Phase 2). 6. Offers for new and existing Platinum/Gold/Classic Credit Cardholders:
6.1 HSBC Credit Cardholders who make purchase transactions on their Cards during the Promotion Period and their transactions are posted to HSBC s systems no later than 25 July 2018 ( Eligible Cardholders ) are eligible for Offer 2 as defined below. 6.2 Offer 2: a. An eligible Primary Platinum/ Gold /Classic Cardholder will be awarded: i. Offer 2.1: One primary HSBC credit cardholders will receive a Samsung Galaxy S9 per week ii. The first cardholder with a total accumulative spend of at least VND 25,000,000 with minimum 10 transactions. Transactions must be posted in HSBC s systems no later than due date of each phase (details in article 7.3.) Offer 2.2: 30 primary HSBC credit cardholders will receive an Action camera per week The first 30 (thirty) cardholders with a total accumulative spend of at least VND 5,000,000 with minimum 10 transactions. Transactions must be posted in HSBC s systems no later than due date of each phase (details in article 7.3.) b. There is total of 1 Samsung Galaxy S9 for eligible cardholder each week during the Promotion Period. If there is more than 1 eligible cardholder in the same week, the winner will be determined by the highest value of spending during that week (details in article 6.2.e) c. There are a total of 30 Action camera for eligible cardholders each week during the Promotion Period. If there are more than 30 eligible cardholders in the same week, the winner will be determined by the highest value of spending during that week (details in article 6.2.e). This offer 2.2 is only valid until 22/07/2018. d. The prize will be accumulated into the following week if no cardholder is eligible in the current week. e. There are 22 Samsung Galaxy S9, 570 Action cameras with 2 phases of prize delivery (details in article 7). g. Each winner may only be rewarded once only in Offer 2 (Samsung Galaxy S9 or Action camera) during the Promotion Period irrespective of whether he/she qualifies more than once in each promotion phase. h. If the same customer qualifies for prizes of different value in different weeks (within 1 promotion phase), they will receive the prize with the highest value. 7. HSBC accepts no liability for undelivered notices due to incorrect phone number/ correspondent address provided by customers, or if mail is lost or damaged. 7.6 The winners receive their prizes as below: a. For cash back offer (Offer 1): The cash back amounts for eligible cardholders will be credited to the credit card accounts of the eligible primary cardholders. The cashback amount will be shown on the eligible cardholders credit card bank statements of the following cycle after HSBC completes the reward process b. For Samsung Galaxy S9 (Offer 2): - HSBC will send the notification for each winner via phone or post. - The Cardholder who is eligible for Samsung Galaxy S9 must collect the prize at one of the following HSBC branches: o Ho Chi Minh City Branch: Ground Floor, the Metropolitan Building, 235 Dong Khoi Street, District 1. o Ha Noi Branch: Ground Floor, the Pacific Place, 83B Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoan Kiem District. c. For Action camera (Offer 2) - HSBC send the notification of each winner via posted mail. - Cardholder should present their original identification card/passport and the notification
8. General Terms to one of the supplier s stores (in Ho Chi Minh city / Hanoi) which are mentioned in the notification letter to redeem for action camera. d. Winners are required to present their original identification card or passport and their credit card for verification by HSBC or supplier s stores (in Ho Chi Minh city / Hanoi). If the winner authorizes another person to collect their prize, the authorized person must present his/her original identification card or passport, the certified copy of the winner s identification/passport and an authorization letter certified by a local authority. e. After the prize delivery deadline (details in article 7.3), winners who reject or have not collected their prizes will forfeit their prizes. 8.1 HSBC reserves the right to reject any credit card application form that is illegible, unclear, incomplete and/or not accompanied by supporting documents. 8.2 To identify eligible transactions, HSBC will consider the transaction date and posted date as recorded by HSBC s system and shown on credit card statements of cardholders. 8.3 Transactions that have been completed during the Promotion Period but not recorded on HSBC s system by the due date will not be eligible irrespective of whether or not cardholders receive the SMS notification about the transaction completion. 8.4 Eligible purchase transactions do not include credit card activation and cash advance transactions, including, but not limited to, cash advance transactions at counters / ATMs / POS and other cash advance transactions, HSBC fee-related transactions and monthly instalment repayments, gambling-related transactions and e-wallets charging by credit. 8.5 Eligible transactions must be made by primary cardholders and supplementary cardholders (if any), and must be authentic for genuine personal purposes and allowed by Vietnamese Law. Offers only award to primary Cardholders. 8.6 Any transaction deemed to be suspicious or ineligible based on transaction time, location or other factors will be deducted from the total eligible purchase amount. HSBC reserves the right to request customers to provide the financial invoice and supporting documents/information to prove that the transaction is eligible. In case the customer does not or fails to prove that the transaction is eligible, HSBC reserves the right to deduct his/her transactions from the value of eligible purchase transactions during the Promotion Period. 8.7 Any disputed, cancelled and/or reversed transaction amount which is recorded in the cardholder s credit card statement during the Promotion Period will be deducted from the total eligible spend. 8.8 Cardholders may check their transactions posted in their credit card account via HSBC Internet Banking service or contact HSBC s hotline on (84 28) 37 247 247 (South Vietnam) or (84 24) 62 707 707 (North Vietnam).
8.9 If after a winner receives his/her prize and his/her eligible purchase transactions are cancelled or reversed, HSBC reserves the right to deduct the prize value from the primary cardholder s credit card account. The transaction will be shown on the credit card bank statement of the primary cardholder. 8.10 These Offer is not applicable for the customers who have applied the new credit card within 06 months from the cancellation date of the old card. 8.11 A credit cardholder will be disqualified if he/she performs or is subject to the following at the time of the promotion result announcement: - Submits a card cancellation request or has cancelled his/her credit card; or - Has his/her HSBC Credit Card cancelled by HSBC; or - Are late paying any bank fees, or do not pay at least the minimum payment due as shown on their statements; or - Are delinquent on any of their products with HSBC. 8.12 Customers may visit HSBC website at www.hsbc.com.vn for further details of the Promotion, contact HSBC s hotline on (84) 28 37 247 247 (South Vietnam) or (84) 24 62 707 707 (North Vietnam). 8.13 If the Cardholders have questions relating to the process or results of the promotion, they must inform HSBC before 30/11/2018 after the winners are awarded. After this deadline, HSBC will not respond to any of their inquiries and/or questions. 8.14 Cardholders will bear all costs incurred from the receipt of their prizes (if any). 8.15 With the cardholders consent, the Bank will pay the ad hoc Personal Income Tax (if any) for the prize value on behalf of each cardholder as stipulated by law; cardholders are not required to reimburse this tax amount to HSBC. 8.16 HSBC reserves the right to revert the cash back value from the primary cardholder s credit card account if cardholders was participated to another credit card promotion program in same promotion period 9. By participating in this Promotion, cardholders accept that HSBC reserves the right to publish or display the name and picture of the cardholders in announcements and advertisements in newspapers and other media without paying any fees to the cardholders. 10. HSBC is not the supplier of the product and service used as prizes in the Promotion. Therefore, after collecting their prizes, cardholders must contact the suppliers of the products and services directly if they have any inquiries or problems related to the product and services and the use of the vouchers. HSBC is not responsible for responding to inquiries and problems. 11. In case of any dispute related to this Promotion, HSBC shall resolve disputes in co-operation with the customer. If the parties fail to reach an agreement, disputes will be resolved in accordance with Vietnamese laws. 12. Standard Terms and Conditions and eligibility requirements of Credit Card in accordance with
HSBC s policy shall be applied in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion. 13. HSBC reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time after completing necessary procedures as required by law. 14. These Terms & Conditions are made in both English and Vietnamese. In case of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English version and Vietnamese version, the Vietnamese version shall prevail.
