He is also a member of Certified Practising Accountant of CPA Australia Ltd. He graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Bachelor s Degree in Accountancy. He has served several years with Coopers & Lybrand and has been involved in audits of large multinational companies and other local corporations as well as listed companies in Malaysia. He left Coopers & Lybrand to set up his own practice. He has over fifteen years of experience in public practice. He is also the partner responsible for the Southern Region operations. He has vast experience in development of strategic business plan for SMEs. He has participated in monitoring and review of loans of a government agency and advisory on withholding tax. Currently, he sits in the board of a Public Listed Company and serving as Chairman of Audit Committee of the Company. 11

TEAM PROFILE (Cont d) o Managing Partner Mohd Afrizan Husain CA (M), FCCA, CPA (M), CPA (AUST), FTII, CISA He is the Managing Partner of the Firm and responsible for operations and development of the strategic plans. He is a member of the following professional bodies:- Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA) Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certified Practising Accountant of CPA Australia Fellow of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) ISACA and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) He is currently a member of Public Practice Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is the partner in charge of our East Coast regional office. He had nine years experience in an international audit firm, Coopers & Lybrand, during which he had been involved in audit and special assignments for various public listed companies both local and international, such as profit forecast, due diligence audit, corporate takeover and setting up accounting procedures. He is an approved Company Auditor under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 1965 and holds the licence issued by the Ministry of Finance. He also holds a Liquidator/Receivers & Managers licence issued by the Ministry of Finance. His major assignments include operational audit of a telecommunication company, setting up of internal audit department of a government agency, financial and debt structuring exercise of a public company and investigation audit on a PN4 listed company. 12

TEAM PROFILE (Cont d) o Partner Hj Tarmili Dulah Kusni CA(M), CPA (Aust), B.Acc (Hons) He is a Chartered Accountant of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Certified Practising Accountant of CPA Australia. He is also member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM), Malaysian Institute of Internal Auditors (MIIA) and Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG). He has extensive experience in the accounting profession. His experience includes all aspect of auditing, tax compliance, corporate tax planning and tax investigation, corporate and business advisory and project financing. He has been auditing various public and private limited companies, government agencies and statutory bodies. He has been appointed by Pusat Zakat of several states as Agent Amil Zakat representing the firm and is authorised to collect Zakat on behalf of the Agency in Selangor and other states. He was previously a member of the board and Audit Committee of a Public Listed Company. 13

He is also a member of Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Australia. He holds a practising licence issued by the Ministry of Finance. He was previously a Manager in Assurance and Business Advisory Unit with an international firm; Coopers & Lybrand and with the merged firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has gained extensive experience in audit and corporate exercises which include preparation of accountants report, submission of proposed issuance of bonds, bonus and rights, corporate restructuring, tax planning, due diligence review, privatisation & corporatisation exercise, acquisition and other business advisory. He is presently a member of the Financial Statements Review Committee of MIA. He is also a committee member of Public Practice Committee of CPA Australia. He has been involved in several working groups of the Malaysian Accounting Standard Board (MASB). Currently, he sits in the working groups of SME reporting standards, Reduced Disclosure Requirement Reporting Standards and MASB Issues Committee. He is currently serving as Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman of a Public Listed Company. He also currently an Independent Director of a unit trust and fund management company and as Independent Investment Committee of the funds. 14

TEAM PROFILE (Cont d) o Executive Director Mohamed Nadzir Idris CA (M), ADIA (UiTM) He graduated from Institute Technology of MARA (now known as Universiti Teknologi MARA) with Advanced Diploma in Accountancy. He is also a Chartered Accountant with Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He started his career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1991 where he gained experience in audit, taxation and corporate restructuring and recovery assignments. He has also gained experience in accounting and corporate exercises during his employment as the accountant of a health management company. He is currently the Director responsible in the Assurance / Audit Services of the firm and he is the Principal of Ipoh Branch office responsible in managing and development of the Branch. o Director, Internal Audit & Risk Management Razly Bin Zakaria ACCA, CIA, CMIIA He is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a Chartered Member of Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (USA) and accredited by Institute of Internal Auditors (USA) as a qualified quality assessor/ validator for Quality Assessment Review (QAR). He gained commercial & consulting experience during his employment with a public listed company and international audit firms, before heading an Internal Audit & Risk Management Department in a governmentlinked corporation. His experiences vary and include Finance & Administration, Corporate Planning, Corporate Recovery & Insolvency, Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, Financial Due Diligence and Business Valuation. He has been involved in Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Financial Due Diligence and Business Valuation assignments covering private and public entities in various industries namely construction, property management, utilities, manufacturing, plantation, heavy engineering, trading, transportation & logistics, investment holding and government-linked corporations. 15

TEAM PROFILE (Cont d) o Senior Manager Consultant Norazleen Abu Bakar FCCA, B.Acc & Fin (Hons) Dublin Business School, Ireland She is a member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and graduated from Dublin Business School, Ireland (DBS) with Degree in Accounting and Finance. Upon graduation, she joined the audit firm in Dublin, Ireland where she spent more than four years in audit, accounting, taxation and company secretarial work. She has been exposed to accounting and auditing assignments for various industries including manufacturing, consultancy, trading and services industries. She has also been involved in setting up an internal audit department and other special assignments in financial and corporate advisory. She is currently a Senior Manager Consultant in our Corporate Advisory Services Division. o Senior Manager Zaidaniah Hamzah CA(M), B.Acc.(Hons) IIUM She graduated from International Islamic University of Malaysia and holds a Bachelor s Degree in Accountancy. She has been involved in audit assignments in various industries. She has also involved in special assignments including Accountants Report and Profit and Cashflow Forecasts for companies seeking listing in Bursa Malaysia. Her vast experience in the audit and accounting has enabled her to provide constructive advice to our clients. In addition, her exposure in financial forecast reviews and due diligence reviews has given an advantage in providing financial reporting services to the clients. She is the senior manager responsible for the resource management of the firm. She is currently the team leader in the Firm s computerization work flow and system working group. 16

She is a member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and also a Chartered Accountant with Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She obtained her degree Master in Business Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia and currently completing her Doctoral degree in Business Administration. Prior joining the firm, she was attached to a medium-size accounting firm for eight years and has been managing engagements in auditing for various clientele portfolios comprising of construction, property developers, trading and retailer, investment holding, hospitality and private agencies. She has been exposed for various assignments in tax consulting, accounting and company secretarial works. She was also made responsible for liaising with tax authorities and maintains close working relationship with them. The extensive experiences that she obtained in audit, taxation and accounting has enabled her to provide constructive advice to our clients. She is currently managing portfolio of clients in our Assurance and Business Advisory division. 17

She is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She has more than seven years of experience in accounting, auditing and taxation. Her participation in various audit and tax engagements has given her wider understanding of business issues relating to tax compliances. She is currently responsible in managing a portfolio of clients on tax compliances and tax advisory matters. She also advises clients on indirect tax issues and assists clients on applications for service tax license with the Royal Custom and Excise Department of Malaysia. o Senior Manager Ernie Sharmila Abd Rahman CA (M), B.Acc.(Hons) IIUM She holds a Bachelor s Degree in Accountancy from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Her experience predominantly in providing tax compliance and advisory services in aftaas tax division. She is responsible in managing the corporate and individual tax compliances and monitoring clients tax issues including assisting clients in tax audit and investigations. Apart from providing corporate compliance tax services, she assists in identifying potential tax issues arising from business decisions and processes and resolve through liaisons with legal and audit professionals or sought the opinion from Inland Revenue Board. She is currently heads the firm tax advisory division. 18

She has obtained an extensive experience in auditing and accounting in the Firm. She has involved in assisting clients in finalizing the financial statements and preparation of management reports. Currently she handles a portfolio of various companies with property development as the major industry. He joined the firm after graduation as an audit assistant and progressively promoted to his current position. He has extensive experience in auditing, accounting, taxation and related services, having exposed in various types of engagement including statutory, due diligence and special audit, involving various industries namely banking, manufacturing, construction, trading and services. She also exposed to co-operative and public sector auditing. Currently, he handles a portfolio of companies comprising property developers, construction and manufacturing. 19

He is also a Chartered Accountant with Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He joined the firm after graduation. He has obtained an extensive experience in auditing, accounting and taxation in the Firm. His engagement covers a wide range of industries including trading & manufacturing, construction and property development, cooperative and statutory bodies. He is responsible for the supervision and management of the Ipoh branch. o Assistant Manager Mohd Adam Mohd Nasaruddin B.Acc. (Hons) KLIUC He graduated from Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College with Bachelor s Degree in Accountancy. He joined the firm as audit assistant and progressively be promoted to his current position. He has experience in auditing, accounting, taxation and other related services, having involved to various engagements in auditing for various industries and organizations including manufacturing, construction, trading and services, cooperation, private and public sectors. He has also involved with auditing of statutory bodies under the supervision of the Auditor General s Office. His experience in audit and accounting has enabled his to provide constructive advice to our clients. Currently, he is responsible for the supervision and manages a portfolio of clients in Assurance and Business Advisory Division of the Firm in Southern Region branch. 20

TRAINING AND EDUCATION Dedicated Staff Force We have a sound policy in recruiting personnel. Currently, we have a combined staff force of more than 100 professional personnel.
