Philippine economy grew by 6.2% in 2018. While full-year growth was the slowest in three years, the country is still among the fastest-growing economies in the world. Inflation is expected to ease this year on the back of stable food supply and lower oil prices. The Fund looks to invest in liquid securities and maintain portfolio duration within acceptable limits. PROSPECTIVE INVESTMENTS. The Fund s prospective investments may include securities issued or guaranteed by the Philippine government, tradable securities issued by financial institutions or private corporations, marketable instruments and loans that are traded in an organized exchange, bank deposits, similar collective investment vehicles subject to existing BSP regulations, and such other investment outlets/categories the BSP allow.
