Terms & Conditions Reservations To reserve your place, please complete and return the booking form to us. Please read the booking conditions carefully before sending it back to us. Your place will be reserved by written confirmation from us once we have received your deposit. Deposits & Final Payment A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the tour price is required at the time of booking: El Camino del Norte Camino Northern Spain French Gastronomic Food & Wine Adventure Relaxing on The Costa Brava Please make your payment by direct bank transfer, including all bank charges and transfer fees to: Foodies in France, Account No. 12-3114-0125411-55, ASB Bank, Oneroa Branch, Waiheke Island 1081 If you wish to pay by Visa or Mastercard there is a 3% surcharge. The balance is due no later than May 15 2018. If the full tour price is not received by this date, we reserve the right to cancel your tour booking, and retain the deposit. Tour reservations can be made within 60 days of departure provided full payment is made at the time of booking. Departures are subject to a minimum of 8 people. Once the 8 deposits have been received, you will be advised that the tour is a guaranteed departure and will proceed. If on receiving an official directive or recommendation not to travel by an advising authority, Foodies In France reserves the right to amend/cancel the departure date.
Insurance We strongly recommended that you, the client, take out insurance in the form of a comprehensive Travel Insurance policy, which includes cancellation cover, and full cover for your personal belongings, theft or loss, illness, injury, and third party damage. If you do not have comprehensive travel insurance coverage we will not be able to accept your booking. Please check with your insurance provider for full details. Cancellations Cancellation by the Client Only written notification of cancellation will be accepted. The following refund policy applies to cancellations: The 30% deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation 70 or more days before the starting date of the tour loss of non-refundable deposit. Cancellation 35 days before the starting date of the tour loss of deposit and 50% of the tour price. Cancellation 35 days or less before the starting date of the holiday - no refund will apply. After departure no refund is available on any unused portion of your holiday. Cancellation by Foodies in France Foodies in France reserves the right to modify or withdraw any booking due to extraneous circumstances arising, which are beyond their control. In the unlikely event that Foodies in France, for any unforeseen circumstances, is obliged to cancel the client s booking, the client will be notified immediately, and a full refund will be made. The client agrees to take out Travel Insurance cover to ensure any losses incurred due to client or operator cancellation are fully covered. Our Responsibility to You & Changes to Tour Itinerary As a tour provider, Foodies In France works with independent contractors such as airlines, car rental companies, accommodation providers, rail, and other operators whose staff are not employees or agents of Foodies In
France. While all efforts are studiously made to ensure that your tour runs smoothly and without alterations, we cannot take responsibility for the conduct or actions of those who are not employees of Foodies in France. Foodies In France therefore, reserves the absolute right to adapt, modify or change the itinerary proposed if necessary, to enhance the quality of the client s experience, or because of local conditions beyond our control. In the unlikely but possible event that there may be variations of cost, this will be passed on to the client. Clients agree that Foodies in France shall not be liable for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, bodily injury or death, or loss or damage to property occasioned through the acts, negligence or defaults of any company or individual engaged in providing services to Foodies In France. Foodies in France shall not be liable directly or indirectly, for any injury, death or damage for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to acts of god, detention, war, quarantine, weather, terrorism, civil disturbance, strike, changes in government regulations, airline or other travel operations. By signing the booking form and paying the deposit for your tour, clients agree to all booking terms & conditions and accept arrangements as stated. Special Requests Please advise us of your dietary needs. We recognise that people may have specific dietary requirements and that for health or other reasons these vary greatly. We can however, only request dietary requirement to hotels suppliers for the following diets - Coeliac, low wheat, gluten free restricted diet. Vegetarian/Pescatarian Accommodation Foodies In France ensures that all accommodation is of a high standard throughout the tours. Walking tour accommodation is generally 3 star, the Gastronomic weeks are more luxurious, most often 5 star. Quality bathrooms, bedding and high standards of comfort are assured. If in the unlikely event a shared bathroom situation arises, the client will be advised in advance. Ambience is important to us and we do our best to ensure you experience authentic, welcoming hospitality.
Walking Tours It is the client s responsibility to ensure that they have a level of fitness appropriate to complete their walking holiday safely. To that end, this walk is a medium grade walk requiring an average level of fitness. Given the topography, ascents and descents may be steep at times. If any issue arises during the course of the tour, it is the client s responsibility to communicate this immediately so that it may be dealt with and resolved efficiently. This may include illness or injury for example. Please advise us if you have any medical conditions. Full disclosure is essential. Baggage Allowance One piece of luggage per person is recommended (20kgs), plus one piece of hand luggage. If you are walking, a 5kg day-pack is recommended. In some situations you may be required to handle your luggage yourself for short distances over rough surfaces so making luggage manageable is in your interests for ease and comfort. Passports & Visas A valid passport is essential and must be fully valid for at least 6 months after your return. Should you require a visa you will be advised along with relevant charges.
