Important information about your investment options, fees, and other expenses for the Aon Savings Plan annual fee disclosure statement The Aon Savings Plan (the Plan ) is a great way to build savings for your future. Through the Aon Savings Plan you get: The convenience of automatic savings through payroll deductions and the opportunity for tax advantages through before-tax and Roth 401(k) contributions Contributions from Aon that are in addition to your savings; and A flexible, comprehensive investment lineup that is monitored by our Retirement Plan Governance and Investment Committee, and includes options that are typically only available to large institutional investors You will want to make sure you are taking full advantage of the Aon Savings Plan by choosing a savings rate and investments in the Plan to meet your retirement and long-term financial needs. Use the tools available on the Plan s website to explore how your savings and investment decisions affect your long-term savings goals. Review this statement to learn more about fees and expenses, the Plan s investment options, and where to go for more information or to take action. To learn more about the Plan, please see the Summary Plan Description available on the Plan s website at resources.hewitt.com/aon. 1. About fees and expenses Many fees and expenses with respect to investments made under the Aon Savings Plan are paid by investors (i.e., the participants). There are several types of fees: What s inside 1. About fees and expenses 2. The Plan s investment options 3. Investment-related information Some fees are asset-based 4. Terms you should know fees. You may not see these fees directly because they are charged to Plan investment options and automatically reduce your investment earnings. These fees are shown in Section 3 of this statement. Assetbased fees are used to pay for investment management fees. You also have administrative fees that result in a separate fee being charged to your account and individual fees that result in charges due to activity you have requested. (See the next page to learn more about administrative and individual fees.) When you decide to invest in any of the funds in the Aon Savings Plan, there are no upfront sales loads or charges. If any of the Plan s investment options have redemption fees that apply if you move money out of these funds before a minimum period of time or holding period, they will be identified in Section 3. Last updated 7/1/2018 H000203155 1

Administrative and individual fees in the Aon Savings Plan Administrative fees: The Plan is charged fees for Plan services such as recordkeeping, other administrative expenses incurred as part of normal Plan operations, and certain legal and other expenses. All separated participants, regardless of balance, and any active participants with individual account balances greater than $100 are charged to cover these costs. Some of the total expense amount may be offset by any revenue sharing and other amounts received by the Plan. The remaining expenses are divided equally across all fee-eligible participants and removed directly from participant accounts. These fees are generally expected to be around $7.00 per quarter per participant, but depending on certain Plan activity, may be $12.00 (or more) per quarter per participant. Trustee fees: The Plan is charged fees by the trustee for specific services, including those determined on the basis of the total funds in the Plan. All participants with an account balance are charged a quarterly fee to cover these costs. The fee is determined on a pro rata basis in other words, based on the respective size of participant account balances. These fees are expected to be less than 0.0050% of participant account balances per quarter, but have more recently been around 0.0025% per quarter. Investment advice access fees: As a participant, you are charged $1.25 per quarter for the investment advice services that is available in the Plan. Professional management account service fees: If you sign up for managed account services, you will be charged a fee that is based on the size of your account: The first $100,000, 0.50% of assets The next $150,000, 0.45% of assets Amounts over $250,000, 0.30% of assets The fee is calculated based on the average amount of assets under management for the calendar quarter, and is debited from your account at the start of the following quarter. Self-directed brokerage account fees: If you establish a selfdirected brokerage account within the Plan, you will pay an annual administration fee of $50 each year. You will also pay applicable trading fees and commissions from your self-directed brokerage account depending upon the activity you request. Learn more about applicable fees on the Plan s website. Fees and expenses are important because they potentially reduce the growth of your account over the long term. (You can find an example that illustrates this concept on the Department of Labor s website, dol.gov/ebsa/publications/401k_employee.html.) However, fees are still only one of several factors to consider when making investment decisions. You also should carefully consider other key factors, including asset class and investment risk, investment objectives, principal investment strategies, and historical performance when selecting investment options. 2. The Plan s investment options As a participant in the Aon Savings Plan, you are responsible for investing your account in one or any combination of the Plan s investment options. Section 3 provides more specific information about the investment options, which include: Target Date Portfolios and the core options, which provide you primarily with investments that have returns subject to change as the market goes up and down. Self-directed brokerage account, which provides access to a marketplace of retail investment options. The self-directed brokerage account is designed for participants who have a strong knowledge of the investment marketplace; want greater flexibility to create a more customized portfolio; and have the ability, time, and desire to personally research and evaluate different investments. The platform is provided through Alight Financial Services, a broker-dealer subsidiary of Alight Solutions LLC and member FINRA/SIPC. 2

Note: The Plan s investment committee does not typically review the investments available through the self-directed brokerage account. You are solely responsible for your investments in the self-directed brokerage account. There is information available to all investors in these retail investments, for example, a mutual fund prospectus. You can request that a copy of a fund prospectus be sent to you from the alightfinancialsolutions.com website, by contacting an Alight Financial Solutions representative at 1.855.625.5500, and select the brokerage option in the menu, or by going to the fund's website directly. Depending upon the investments purchased and sold in the selfdirected brokerage account, other commissions and fees may apply and will be charged within your self-directed brokerage account. Before you purchase or sell securities through the selfdirected brokerage account, you should find out about any fees associated with the purchase or sale of the particular investment you are trading. You can obtain a fee schedule of applicable trading fees and commissions online by logging on to your account at alightfinancialsolutions.com or by contacting an Alight Financial Solutions representative at 1.855.625.5500. You may enroll in the self-directed brokerage account by logging on to your account at resources.hewitt.com/aon and choosing Set Up a Brokerage Account under the Change Investments Option in the Savings and Retirement menu. You must keep at least 50% of your total account balance in the Aon Savings Plan core investments at all times. You may change your investment elections as often as you like on any day the market is open. But keep in mind that some investments in the self-directed brokerage account may be subject to regulatory and fund company trading restrictions. Choosing your investment strategy Ultimately, how you invest should depend on your age, lifestyle, accumulated wealth, years to retirement, and comfort with risk. This statement only provides some information about your investment choices, like fees, expenses, and historical returns. Your decisions should be based on the full picture, taking into account your individual situation, not just the information in this statement. To learn more about the investment options and fees that apply, visit the Aon Savings Plan website. You can find fund fact sheets, historical performance, and other information. You can also receive more information about the investment options, including paper copies of the information that is provided online, by calling the Aon HR Service Center at 1.855.625.5500. Representatives are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. Some of the information you can find on the website or request copies of via the Aon HR Service Center includes: Copies of summary prospectuses or similar documents for funds that are not federally registered. Copies of any financial statements or reports, such as statements of additional information and shareholder reports, and of any other similar materials relating to the Plan s funds, to the extent such materials are provided to the Plan. A statement of the value of a share or unit of each fund as well as the date of the valuation. A list of the plan assets comprising the portfolio of each fund. 3

To enroll or make changes to your investments at any time, log on to the Plan s website and: Enroll. Simply go to Savings and Retirement > 401(k) Savings Plan > Contributions > Start Saving. Change your current investment mix or your investment elections for future contributions. Go to Savings and Retirement > Investments > Change Investments and follow the instructions on the website. Sign up for managed account services. To help you create an investment strategy, the Plan provides access to advice services. Aon has designated Alight Financial Advisors, an independent registered investment advisor, to provide fiduciary investment advice and managed account services to Plan participants. If you choose managed account services, Alight Financial Advisors will select and manage your account investments for you. Fees apply for managed account services; see Administrative and Individual Fees in the Aon Savings Plan in Section 1. If you are unable to log on to the Plan s website, you may also enroll or change investment options by calling the Aon HR Service Center at 1.855.625.5500. Representatives are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Central Time, Monday through Friday. 3. Historical performance for the option and an appropriate benchmark for the same period of time 2 Keep in mind, however, that past performance does not guarantee how the investment option will perform in the future. Your investments in these options could lose money. Information about an option s principal risks is available on the Plan s website. For more information about this statement, you may contact the Aon HR Service Center at 1.855.625.5500 or the Plan Administrator at: Aon Administrative Committee 6th Floor 200 E. Randolph Street Chicago, IL 60601 Federal regulations require plan sponsors to provide this statement. It includes important information to help you understand your retirement plans and compare the investment options offered to you. Most or all of the fund information available in this statement is available to you by other means, and is provided by third parties. We have not independently verified the third-party information we are relaying in this statement. 3. Investment-related information The following table provides you with information on the investment options that have a variable rate of return: 1. General information about the type of investment option 2. Fee information, including asset-based fees (often called the expense ratio) plus other shareholder-type fees or investment restrictions 1 1 Shareholder-type fees and investment restrictions outline any fees paid directly from your investment in this option (e.g., redemption fees and expense charges) and any restrictions on trading (e.g., equity wash and purchase block provisions) that might exist for a specific investment option. 2 In general, 1-year, 5-year, and 10-year performance history is shown. If a full history is not available, a return since inception is provided instead. Any returns that are since inception are footnoted and the benchmark is adjusted to reflect the same time frame as the plan investment option. The secondary benchmark reflects the actual benchmark, but the inception to date will always reflect the actual inception to date of the investment option. 4

4. Terms you should know For definitions related to investments, go to the Plan s website. You will find definitions in Retirement > Investment Summary > Fund Detail. Here are a few key terms and concepts to help you understand the information described in this statement. Administrative fees: Fees paid to the recordkeeper to cover expenses for things like keeping data on participants, communication materials, Internet services, and assisting participants with transactions; fees paid to a trustee to manage some operations of the plan, including trading and holding assets; and fees paid for legal and accounting services. Asset-based fees: Fees that are charged as a percent of holdings in an investment to cover investment management expenses plus any asset-based administrative services. Asset-based fees are also referred to as the expense ratio or, more technically, the fund s total annual operating expenses. (See box on this page for an example of how asset-based fees work.) Benchmark: A standard against which the performance of a security, fund, or investment manager can be measured. Generally, broad market and marketsegment stock and bond indexes are used to evaluate the performance of an investment. Core options: Each of these options represents a single asset class. A combination of core options is needed to have a diversified portfolio that will provide the most optimal long-term investment experience. Designated investment advisor: The individual or organization that manages investments for individuals who choose to participate in managed account services. Equity wash: A transfer restriction for a stable value fund requiring monies transferred out to be invested in an equity fund or other non-competing fund for a specific period of time (usually 90 days) before the monies can be reinvested into a stable value fund or other competing fund. Individual fees: The fees paid to the advisory firm or investment management company for the day-to-day investment management of the securities in the fund s portfolio. These fees may also include costs such as advertising and promotion, administration, and other related services. Investment objective: Investment objectives span a spectrum of investable risks that a participant can consider when they invest their retirement savings to build a personalized portfolio that matches their long-term investment goals. That spectrum moves from lower to higher risk, from Capital Preservation to "Income" to Inflation Sensitive and finally to Growth. Investment management fees: Fees paid to the investment manager for selecting and managing the investments in an investment option. These fees may also include costs such as advertising and promotion, administration, and other related services. Professional management account services: You have the option to sign up for managed account services, where the designated investment advisor will manage your investment mix for you. If you choose this service, the fees described in the Administrative and individual fees in the Aon Savings Plan box in Section 1 will apply. Purchase block: This transfer restriction applies when money is moved out of a fund and then cannot be moved back into the fund for a specific period of time (usually 30 to 90 days). How asset-based fees work Let s assume your current account balance is $30,000, and you have invested in three investment options as shown below. Here is an estimate of what you might pay annually in total asset-based fees. Investment Balance Asset-based fees As % of assets Dollar amount Income $10,000 0.37% $ 37.00 US Large Company Foreign Company $17,000 0.27% $ 45.90 $ 3,000 0.48% $ 14.40 Total $30,000 $97.30 Because asset-based fees are accumulated daily, your actual cost will vary as your account value changes. Target Date Portfolio Options: These options are premixed, diversified investment strategies that are designed to be a single investment solution. They have a mix of underlying investments that are generally appropriate for a given retirement date. 8
