Gadget Protect Certificate of Insurance Thank you for choosing Gadget Protect insurance. The information in this policy wording contains important information and we have made it as easy as possible to understand. Please take time to read through it and contact us if you need any further information. Insurer This policy is underwritten by Alpha Insurance A/S, Harbour House I, Sundkrogsgade 21, DK-2100 Copenhagen Denmark. Your policy is arranged by Business & Domestic Insurance services, a trading style of the Motorway Direct Plc group of companies, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), authorisation number 311741. Alpha Insurance A/S is authorised and regulated by Finanstilsynet (the Danish FCA), under authorisation number 53068 and you can check this by visiting the Finanstilsynet website at www.finanstilsynet.dk. Jurisdiction and law This insurance policy will be governed by the law of England & Wales, whose courts alone shall have jurisdiction in any dispute arising from this insurance. War and terrorism exclusion Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary within this insurance or any endorsement thereto it is agreed that this insurance excludes loss, damage, cost or expenses of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any of the following regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other consequence to the loss: - 1. War, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities or warlike operations (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, civil commotion assuming the proportions of or amounting to an uprising, military or usurped power; 2. Or any act of terrorism. As an insurance company authorised within the European Union, Alpha Insurance A/S is permitted to conduct business in the United Kingdom under FCA reference 431621. You can check this by visiting the Financial Services Register on the FCA website at www.fca.org.uk. What makes up this policy? This policy and the certificate of insurance or confirmation of coverage document must be read together as they form your insurance contract. Monetary limits We can insure you up to the cover limit as specified on your certificate of insurance or confirmation of coverage document. Cooling off period Your policy administrator will refund in full your premium, if, within 14 days of purchasing this insurance you decide that it does not meet your needs providing that you have not reported or are intending to report a claim. Once the 14 days has expired you may cancel this insurance but no refund of premium will be given. For the purpose of this statement; any act of terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or the threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisation(s) or government(s), committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public, in fear. This statement also excludes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to (1) and/ or (2) above. If the underwriters allege that by reason of this exclusion, any loss, damage, cost or expense is not covered by this insurance the burden of proving the contrary shall be upon the assured. Complaints procedure We care about the service we provide to you and we make every effort to maintain the highest possible standards. If you have any questions about the policy please ask us. Please have this document available so that we can deal with your enquiry speedily. Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) The insurer is covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if the insurer cannot complete their obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. For claims against insurers 90% of the claim is covered with no upper limit. Although we set ourselves high standards, if we do not meet your expectations and you are dissatisfied in some way we would like to know. If you follow the guidelines below, your complaint will be dealt with in the most efficient way possible. Any complaints about this policy or related services should, in the first instance, be made to our: Complaints Manager, Trent Services (Administration) Ltd., Trent Lodge, Stroud Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 6JN, Tel: +44(0)1285 626020 who will respond to any complaint within 10 days. If you remain dissatisfied with our handling of and response to the complaint you may be referred to the Danish Insurance Complaints Board, Ankenaevnet for Forsikring (the Board) or the U.K. Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), depending on the nature of the complaint and whether it should properly be directed against us or another party. Contact details are as follows: Data Protection Act 1998 Please note that any information provided to us will be processed by us and our agents in compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998, for the purpose of providing insurance and handling claims, if any, which may necessitate providing such information to third parties. We may also send the information in confidence for process to other companies acting on their instructions including those located outside the European Economic Area. Who is eligible to purchase this policy? Any person: - 1. Permanently resident in the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland). 2. Aged at least 18 years of age on the date of purchase. The meanings are given below: Accidental Damage - any sudden and unforeseen damage following a specific event which was not deliberately caused. In order for the Board to deal with your complaint, you will need to agree to their applying the rules of Danish law and practice in the adjudication process. Referring a complaint to the Board or the FOS is an alternative form of dispute resolution. It does not affect your right to take legal action Breakdown - the actual breaking or burning out of any part of your electrical equipment (excluding computers) which in ordinary use arising from internal electronic, electrical or mechanical defects in the equipment causing sudden stoppage of the function thereof and necessitating immediate repair before it can resume normal operation.

Commercial vehicle - any vehicle used wholly or partly for commercial or business purposes or any other vehicle that is being used for commercial or business purposes at the time of any loss or damage to the electronic equipment. Computer - means either a desktop or laptop device. 5. Accidental Damage - we will pay repair costs if your electronic equipment is damaged as the result of an accident. 6. Theft - If your electronic equipment is stolen we will replace it. Where only part or parts of your electronic equipment have been stolen, we will only replace that part or parts. Electronic equipment the items insured by this policy, purchased by you. The number of items covered will depend on which option you have chosen and will be shown in your schedule. Immediate family your mother, father, son, daughter, spouse, domestic partner. Period of cover for monthly policies 1 (one) calendar month from the inception date, renewing monthly on the same day each month (the last day of the month will apply appropriately to each month) provided the monthly premium is paid. For policies of longer duration the period is specified in your schedule. Reasonable precautions all measures that it would be reasonable to expect a person to take in the circumstances to prevent damage or theft of your electronic equipment. You, your the person, who owns the electronic equipment as stated in the schedule. Cover provided 1. This policy will only cover up to two valid claims in any one 12 month period. 2. This policy only covers individual items of electronic equipment up to a value of 750 each. If you have items over this value then you should seek alternative cover for them as they will not be covered in the event of a claim on this policy. 3. For monthly insurance policies this is a monthly contract and is only in force if the monthly premium has been paid. 4. For policies of a longer duration the premium must be paid at inception and the policy will remain in force for the period shown on your schedule and will remain in force until the period expires or is cancelled. 7. Breakdown which occurs outside of the manufacturers guarantee period. This cover is not available on computers. What is not covered (exclusions) Your electronic equipment is not covered for: 1. Any claim made within the 30 days of the first period of cover. 2. Theft: From any commercial vehicle, convertible or soft topped vehicle; From any motor vehicle where you or someone acting on your behalf is not in the vehicle, unless the electronic equipment has been concealed in a locked boot, locked glove compartment or other locked internal compartment and all the vehicle s windows and doors closed and locked and all security systems have been activated; If left on any motor vehicle roof, bonnet or boot; From any type of transport except as permitted above; From any building, land or premises unless force, resulting in damage to the building or premises, was used to gain entry or exit; From your control or the control of any member of your immediate family, except where it has been concealed either on or about the person and not left unattended, or the use of physical force or violence against the person has been used or threatened; Where the electronic equipment has been left unattended when it is away from your home; Where reasonable precautions have not been taken; If the serial number has been tampered with in any way. Where this is no police report. Where there is no evidence of violent or forced entry to the vehicle or premises. 3. Damage caused by: You deliberately damaging or neglecting the electronic equipment; You not following the manufacturer s instructions;

Routine servicing, inspection, maintenance or cleaning; The use of accessories. 4. Repair or other costs for: Routine servicing, inspection, maintenance or cleaning; A claim resulting from a manufacturer s defect or recall of the electronic equipment; Replacement of or adjustment to fittings, control knobs or buttons, batteries or aerials; Repairs carried our by persons not authorised to do so by us; Wear and tear or gradual deterioration of performance. 17. Any individual item over 750 in value at the date of loss. 18. Value Added Tax (VAT) where you are registered with HM Revenue and Customs for VAT. Replacement This policy offers a like per like replacement as new. If the electronic equipment cannot be replaced with identical electronic equipment, we will replace it with one of comparable specification or the equivalent value at our discretion. 5. Any kind of damage whatsoever unless the damaged electronic equipment is provided for repair. 6. Any loss involving a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card. 7. Any expense incurred as a result of not being able to use the electronic equipment, or any loss other than the repair or replacement costs of the electronic equipment. 8. The first 50 of each claim. 9. Loss of or damage to accessories of any kind. 10. Any loss or damage caused by the failure of any electrical or computer equipment, software, micro-controller, microchip, accessories or associated equipment to correctly recognize and process any calendar date or time. 11. If the original SIM card was not in a mobile phone at the time of the loss, damage or theft. 12. Reconnection costs or subscription fees of any kind. 13. The cost of replacing any personalised ring tones or graphics, downloaded material or software. Conditions And limitations 1. Unless we have agreed otherwise the laws of England and Wales will govern this contract and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction to hear any disputes regarding your policy. 2. This insurance only covers electronic equipment bought and used in the UK. Cover is extended to include use of the electronic equipment anywhere in the world up to a maximum of 60 days in total, in any single 12 month period, subject to any repairs being carried out in the UK by repairers approved by us. 3. The electronic Item must be less than 5 years old (excluding laptops which must be less than 3 years old) with valid proof of purchase (not from online auctions) when the policy is started. 4. You must provide us with any receipts, documents or proof of purchase, that it is reasonable for us to request. 5. This insurance may only be altered, varied or its conditions altered or premium changed by giving you 30 days notice in writing. 14. The cost of any unauthorized calls following the theft or damage of a mobile phone or PDA. 6. We will only cover two valid claims under this policy in any 12 month period 15. Any civil unrest, terrorism, nuclear radiation or contamination from nuclear waste or any related event, or any act related to war. 7. You cannot transfer the insurance to someone else or to any other electronic equipment without our written permission. 16. Any loss of or damage to information or data or software contained in or stored on the electronic equipment whether arising as a result of a claim paid by this insurance or otherwise. 8. You must take all reasonable precautions to prevent any loss or damage.

9. Cover excludes costs or payments recoverable from any party, under the terms of any other contract, guarantee, warranty, or insurance. notify us and send it to us if we ask you to. To help us improve our service we may record or monitor telephone calls. 10. In respect of monthly policies if the direct debit premium payment is cancelled or unsuccessful at any given point, no benefits will be due whatsoever and the policy will be automatically cancelled. Cancellation We hope you are happy with the cover this policy provides. However, if after reading this policy, this insurance does not meet with your requirements, please return it to the administrator within 14 fourteen days of issue and we will refund your premium. We will not be bound to accept renewal of any insurance and may at any time cancel any insurance document by sending 30 days notice to you at your last known address. Provided the premium has been paid in full you will be entitled to a proportionate rebate of premium in respect of the unexpired period showing on the insurance for annual policies. If your policy is monthly and you or we cancel it outside the first 14 days then there will be no refund of premium. Claims procedure 1. You must: Notify the administrator on 0844 375 5660 as soon as possible but in any event within 2 working days of discovery of any incident likely to give rise to a claim under this insurance; Report the theft of any mobile phone or PDA, within 12 hours of discovery to your airtime provider and blacklist your handset; Report the theft of any electronic equipment to the police within 24 hours of discovery and obtain a crime reference number in support of a theft claim; Provide us with details of the claim and any other contract, guarantee, warranty or insurance that may apply to the loss including but not limited to household insurance. Where appropriate a rateable proportion of the claim may be recovered direct from these insurers. 2. If we replace your electronic equipment the damaged or lost item becomes ours. If it is returned or found you must
