She takes instructions from firms of solicitors and insurers, on behalf of defendants, claimants and in the role of single joint expert. Caroline is a member of The Academy of Experts. As Rushtons of Forensic Accounting, Caroline is responsible for the day to day management of Rushtons forensic accounting work. She prepares reports either authored in her own name, or under the direction of other Rushtons experts. In recent years, Caroline has focused on insurance litigation, in particular, quantifying losses relating to: personal injury/fatal accident; professional negligence; product liability; and subrogation / recovery actions (in relation to business interruption claims). She also has experience of working directly with insurers in relation to first party business interruption claims arising from property damage and fraud / employee fidelity claims, and is able to apply her skillset and experience to commercial litigation, matrimonial disputes and regulatory litigation. Caroline regularly reviews her training needs and undertakes training as necessary. Caroline has prepared and presented training seminars and workshops to clients and colleagues on various topics including business interruption, loss of profits, loss of earnings and pension, and the financial factors to consider in the sentencing of Health & Safety Prosecutions. At Rushtons Forensics, Adam has experience in producing company and share valuation reports, predominately in matrimonial disputes. He has also worked on loss of profit calculations, personal injury claims and various fraud investigations. Prior to joining Rushtons, Adam worked for nearly 5 years at PwC, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and began to specialise in forensic accounting. This provided experience across a wide range of forensic accounting services including large scale fraud investigations, loss of profit valuations, shareholder disputes, completion account review and negotiation processes, and anti-bribery and corruption reviews. During his time at PwC he also worked in the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) team in Transaction Services, providing support at all stages of a transaction from pre-deal work through to post-completion. Adam undertakes various training courses to ensure that he is fully aware of the requirements of a forensic accountant and continues to develop his knowledge in order to become an accredited expert in the near future.
