UNDERSTAND global economic and business trends ANTICIPATE opportunities and challenges in emerging economies NETWORK with top executives, high-level policy makers and OECD experts ACCESS relevant OECD expertise, analysis and data CAPITALISE on new business opportunities

Who we are EMnet, or the Emerging Markets Network, is an initiative dedicated to the private sector hosted by the OECD. Managed by the Development Centre, the Network fosters dialogue and analysis on emerging economies and their impact on global economic, social and environmental issues. EMnet gathers top executives (chief executive officers, vice-presidents, managing directors, chief financial officers, heads of strategy, chief economists) of multinational companies from diverse sectors, willing to engage in debates with high-level policy makers, including heads of state and ministers, and OECD experts. Our events are closed to the public and media and operate under Chatham House rules to encourage open and dynamic discussions on doing business in Africa, Asia and Latin America. EMnet s value A platform for dialogue and analysis on emerging economies: Discuss doing business in Africa, Asia and Latin America with a range of actors and benefit from in-house analysis on emerging market trends. A networking opportunity: Connect with policy makers and share insights with senior leaders and strategists from multinationals based in both OECD and emerging economies. Tailored access to the OECD s vast resources and expertise: Enjoy unlimited access to OECD publications and data. Engage with OECD experts in diverse areas (e.g. finance, industrial policy, energy, innovation) and geographies to complement your strategy and research.

EMnet is a powerful tool to gather information, discuss, understand and anticipate important events unfolding in key emerging markets for international investors. Carlos Gascó, Senior Advisor, International Corporate Affairs, Iberdrola The EMnet meeting was a special opportunity to build our connections in the region and open new windows for business and growth. Ricardo Emilio Salazar, Head, Government and Public Affairs & Advocacy for Latin America, Sanofi I am pleased to say that each time I leave an EMnet meeting, I take with me new insights and ideas. Vankipuram S. Parthasarathy, Group Chief Financial Officer, Mahindra & Mahindra It s enriching for the public and the private sector to share ideas and discuss public policy challenges and opportunities in areas like technology and digitalization. Mónica Flores, President Latin America, ManpowerGroup

Our model EMnet has expanded the range of initiatives offered to members: Invitations to OECD events EMnet meetings On-demand bilateral meetings with OECD experts Webinars Access to OECD publications and analysis Thematic Working Groups EMnet Policy Notes

EMnet meetings EMnet organises regular meetings on Asia, Africa and Latin America at the OECD headquarters in Paris on topics of common interest to the Network s members. Participants gather for seminars that are closed to the public and held under Chatham House rules to encourage open discussion among multinational companies, high-level government officials, OECD experts and renowned academics. EMnet hosts additional meetings in emerging markets based on member recommendations and interests. EMnet Working Groups Working Groups discuss cutting-edge topics of interest to EMnet members: New platform for cross-regional thematic discussions, complementing the regional approach of the traditional EMnet meetings. Opportunity for participants to offer a business perspective on relevant topics under discussion at the OECD. The Working Groups discuss topics such as green investment in emerging markets or challenges related to business regulations in emerging economies. EMnet webinars Webinars provide an opportunity to interact with the main authors of OECD Development Centre flagship publications. Recent webinars discussed the key findings of the Latin American Economic Outlook and the African Economic Outlook. Webinars are recorded and available online for EMnet members.

EMnet publications EMnet Policy Notes analyse and summarise the key points discussed during EMnet events. EMnet prepares Policy Notes after each event, including thematic Working Groups. Policy Notes provide analysis and exclusive views on doing business in emerging markets. EMnet opens doors to the OECD EMnet provides exclusive access to OECD resources and expertise: Access to the vast amount of OECD economic research and publications Invitations to OECD forums and events in line with each member s priorities Ad-hoc bilateral meetings with OECD experts Additional customised events and collaboration opportunities can be discussed with EMnet

Getting involved EMnet connects the private sector to the OECD and offers access to the Organisation s extensive expertise, analysis and data on sectors and geographies of interest to you. To learn more about the Network, we invite you to attend our upcoming meetings on Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as our thematic Working Groups. We welcome the participation of new members and can tailor opportunities for collaboration to your organisational and strategic needs. Contact us Please email dev.emnet@oecd.org to reach the EMnet team. www.oecd.org/dev/oecdemnet.htm The OECD Development Centre The OECD Development Centre was established in 1962 as an independent platform for knowledge sharing and policy dialogue between OECD member countries and developing economies, allowing these countries to interact on an equal footing. Today, 27 OECD countries and 25 non-oecd countries are members of the Centre. The Centre draws attention to emerging systemic issues likely to have an impact on global development and more specific development challenges faced by today s developing and emerging economies. It uses evidence-based analysis and strategic partnerships to help countries formulate innovative policy solutions to the global challenges of development.
