Memo No. PER/76/09-10 Date: 13 March 2010 STAFF SUPERVISING : FORMATS FOR VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT / RESIGNATION In terms of Regulation 20 of SBOP Officers Service Regulations, 1979, an officer can submit his application for voluntary retirement / resignation from Bank s service subject to his giving 3 months notice in writing or pay in lieu thereof. Till date, we have no specified format for application seeking voluntary retirement / resignation by an officer. We are receiving applications for voluntary retirement / resignation on different formats from different quarters, some of which do not contain the relevant informations. In order to have the uniformity, it has been decided that all the applications for voluntary retirement / resignation of officers must be submitted on the following formats (as per annexures) a. Application for voluntary retirement / resignation (ANNEXURE-I) (To be submitted by the officer seeking voluntary retirement / resignation) b. Acknowledgement of application of voluntary retirement / resignation (ANNEXURE-II) (To be given by Branch Manager / Controlling Authority) c. Format for Proposal for Voluntary Retirement / Resignation of officer (ANNEXURE-III) (To be put up to the Competent Authority by the Controlling Authority through Personnel Administration Deptt., HO, Patiala)

Meanwhile, unless and until approval of the Competent Authority is communicated to you, you will continue to be in the Bank s service and report for duty as usual. You shall not be deemed to have retired/resigned from the service of the Bank. 3.* In view of the pending disciplinary proceedings against you/your suspension from service, your request can not be considered till the completion of the disciplinary proceedings against you.
