The mission of the BBIA 2017 Home & Ranch Expo is to promote and strengthen the local home building industry. We strive to make this event both profitable and pleasurable for our vendors and visitors alike. Our volunteer committee works hard to ensure exhibitors have the best opportunity to promote their businesses and the building industry, providing all exhibitors and attendees a unique and positive view of the small businesses that make up our industry. We are excited to announce several special events: Vendor & Member Appreciation Night The committee is hard at work designing a fun evening Friday for our vendors and our members. We will be enjoying appetizers and beverages courtesy of our sponsors as well as door prizes for attendees and vendors. Vendor Pancake Breakfast has become the vendors favorite part of our show. The 2017 Vendor Pancake Breakfast will take place Saturday morning before the show opens inside the main event center 8am 8:45am. 2017 was a spectacular event, drawing in excess of 1200 attendees and raising a mountain of food, only because of the support we received from our sponsors and exhibitors. Bitterroot Home & Ranch Expo Rules & Regulations 1. CONTRACT FOR SPACE: The contracted space must be used solely by the exhibitor whose name appears on the contract. No portion may be sublet or assigned without written approval from the BBIA. Each exhibitor must be in place by 8:45 a.m. on the day of the show. All booths must be manned during show hours and removal of goods prior to show closing is strictly prohibited. VENDORS TEARING DOWN PRIOR TO SHOW CLOSING WILL BE FINED $200! 2. PAYMENTS: A $100 deposit is required to hold any space, and the balance due January 10, 2017. If the exhibitor fails to make payment when due, this agreement may be cancelled by the Association without notice. No exhibit will be permitted until booth fee is paid in full. 3. CANCELLATIONS must be in writing. Booths cancelled prior to January 10, 2017, will receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. After January 10, 2017, a 50% refund minus $50 cancellation fee will be given if booth space is resold. Refunds will be processed after the show. 4. SPACE ASSIGNMENTS: All booth assignments will be based upon contracts submitted on a first-come, first-served basis. 5. ELECTRICAL: All booth spaces include one electrical service. Special electrical needs must be requested in advance and may incur additional charges. Extension cords are the responsibility of the exhibitor. 6. Exhibitors must be registered prior to December 31, 2016, to be listed in the Expo Guidebook. 7. Exhibitors must, at their own expense, keep their spaces cleaned and their exhibit in good order. 8. Each exhibitor is responsible for any damage he/she or his/her employees may cause to the premises of the First Interstate Convention Center at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds or J&M Convention Decorating. 9. EXHIBITOR PASSES permit exhibitors to enter the Expo area without payment. Exhibitor passes will be available for pick up during show set up. Passes will only be given upon receipt of full payment. Exhibitor passes are not collected but are shown only at the door for entry and can be used throughout the Expo. Each Exhibitor will be given two passes per booth. Additional passes can be purchased. Exhibitor passes are to be used by exhibitors only. 10. Normal building security is provided during show times, but management and the Bitterroot Building Industry Association will not be liable for loss. During non-expo hours the buildings are kept locked however, EXHIBITORS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION AND NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN BOOTHS WHEN NOT ATTENDED. 11. EXHIBITOR PARKING: Do not park in the South lot. Save the most convenient parking for your attendees. VENDOR PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE NORTH PARKING LOT. 12. EXHIBIT CONTENT AND MANNER OF USE: The Bitterroot Building Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) reserves the right to make decisions relative to show content and reserves the right to reject exhibits detrimental or not specifically appropriate to the Home & Ranch Expo. 13. EVENTUALITIES: The Association shall not be liable for any damages or expenses incurred by exhibitors in the event the show is delayed, interrupted or not held as scheduled. If for any reason beyond the control of the Association, the show is not held, the Association may retain as much of the amount paid by exhibitors as is necessary to defray expenses already incurred. 14. LIABILITY: Neither the Association, the members, officers, directors or employees will be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur to the exhibitor, or to the exhibitor s employee or property from any cause whatsoever, prior, during or following the period covered by the exhibit contract. The exhibitor, on signing contract, expressly releases the abovementioned Association, individuals, committee and management from any and all claims for such loss, damage or injury. 15. INSURANCE: Exhibitors shall obtain and maintain in effect a commercial general liability insurance policy, written on an occurrence bases that provides coverage against claims for bodily injury or property damage occurring on the premises of the Expo, including the building and parking lots. Such policy shall afford protection with an occurrence limit not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000). The exhibitor shall name the BBIA as additional insured on such policy for the Expo dates of January 31 to February 2, 2013. Exhibitor shall provide the BBIA a certificate of insurance evidencing such coverage. 16. RULES AND AMENDMENTS: The Bitterroot Building Industry Association shall have full power to interpret and so make or amend these rules. Wherever these rules do not cover, the Bitterroot Building Industry Association reserves the right to make such rulings as may appear to be in the best interest of the Expo and the exhibitor agrees to accept and abide by such rulings.
