Since 2007 Carolyn has provided policy analysis, training and strategic advice for over 20 Australian, state and territory government agencies and for a range of voluntary and non- government organisations. With Clive Haggar, she has also delivered close to 100 workshops on the management of workplace bullying, tailored to the needs of specific agencies. Prior to 2007, she built policy and evaluation units in three government agencies, receiving two Australia Day medals for excellence in policy development and the Secretary s award for leadership in establishing a culture of evaluation in one large agency. Carolyn holds a Master s Degree in Management specialising in industry strategy, and has over 20 years experience as a teacher, trainer, facilitator and professional chair. Susan has had a diverse career in the public and private sectors, as a researcher, policy analyst, manager and consultant. During a 20-year public sector career she was responsible for the development of national strategies, reform agendas and budget initiatives in Australian Government portfolios responsible for health and ageing, families and community services, industry, science and communications. With qualifications in science, public policy and public health, Susan has substantial experience in evaluating complex policy issues and providing sound, evidence-based advice to decision makers about the outcomes of their policies and programs. She applies systems thinking across a range of public policy issues to review and evaluate government programs and interventions, strategic and policy reform agendas, governance and advisory mechanisms, and legislation and regulatory frameworks. Susan s Australian government clients include Health and Ageing, Infrastructure and Regional Development, Social Services, Veterans Affairs, Environment, Immigration and Border Protection, and Foreign Affairs and Trade.
