PROGRAMME OUTLINE Learn the common errors made and to obtain the latest GST updates Are you aware of the GST risks that your business is being subjected to? Given the dynamic nature of the GST, keeping yourself abreast with the latest updates in the GST regulatory framework is a necessity for a low business risk. Learn to identify, rectify and avoid the common errors made in GST reporting in daily operating activities before submitting your returns and equip yourself with the latest revision to the GST guidelines to avoid running afoul of the law. SPEAKERS Ng Swee Weng Senior Advisor Tax & GST Swee Weng is the Senior Advisor for Advisory & GST at BDO Malaysia. Prior to joining BDO Malaysia, Swee Weng was a Partner at KPMG Malaysia. Swee Weng was also formerly a member of KPMG s Audit and Accounting Committee, which provides directives and consultative support on technical issues. Swee Weng has conducted numerous presentations on GST issues facing Malaysian companies. He has considerable experience providing GST advice to companies ranging from small to medium SMEs to large publicly listed entities, particularly those entities operating in the development and construction industries. By combining years of risk management experience with his GST knowledge, Swee Weng is able to provide tailored advice to clients regarding a broad range of technical GST issues. Swee Weng was a former Project Director on the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board. Soo Kah Yih Manager Tax & GST Kah Yih is the Manager for GST at BDO Malaysia. She has nearly four years of experience in GST, involved in GST implementation assignment, GST registration, GST compliance, GST advisory and etc. in various industries, including hotel, construction, manufacturing, trading, etc. Prior to joining GST, Kah Yih has involved in audit and assurance for more than three years. Her experience in audit has supported her to advice GST-related issues. She is also a member of CPA Australia.
