Specific Terms for MoneyManager (Coventry First)

MoneyManager (Coventry First) The General Investment Terms and Conditions in force and as updated from time to time and these Specific Terms both apply to this MoneyManager (Coventry First) account. If there is any inconsistency between the General Investment Terms and Conditions and the Specific Terms, the Specific Terms will apply. 1. Eligibility 1.1 This account can only be held by individuals, aged 18 or over. The maximum permitted number of joint account holders is two. 1.2 You can have no more than one MoneyManager (Coventry First) solely in your own name and one MoneyManager (Coventry First) held jointly. 2. Minimum and maximum balance 2.1 There is no minimum balance. The maximum investment is 250,000. 3. Minimum monthly deposit 3.1 You must make a minimum deposit each month of 1,000 (excluding transfers from other accounts with us) into this account. Please see Condition 17.1 for what we mean by a month. 4. Statements 4.1 Statements will be sent monthly from the opening date of your account. 5. Paid Interest 5.1 The interest rates for this account are variable. We make current interest rate information available on our website at thecoventry.co.uk or you can call our customer service centre.

5.2 If during the 42 day period before the date of your monthly statement you have not paid at least 1,000 into your account (in accordance with Condition 3.1) then for the period up to and including the date of your next monthly statement, the interest rate earned by you will be only a nominal rate. 5.3 Interest earned by you will be paid monthly on the last day of each calendar month. 6. Card 6.1 A VISA Debit Card is issued to all account holders. 7. Deposits 7.1 Deposits can be made by: (c) (d) cash at a branch; cheque at a branch or by post to our central processing centre; internal transfer from another account with us; or one-off or regular electronic payment(s) from an account with another bank/building society. 8. Withdrawals 8.1 Withdrawals can be made by: (c) (d) (e) (f) cash at a branch; cheque at a branch or by post to our central processing centre; your Debit Card, in cash through the LINK network of ATM machines, or any ATM that displays the VISA sign; internal transfer to another account held with us; one-off electronic payment to another UK bank/building society; standing order;

(g) (h) Direct Debit; or your Debit Card, to pay for goods and services and obtaining cash from retailers and other suppliers who have agreed to accept the Debit Card. 9. Overdrafts 9.1 You may borrow from us using an authorised overdraft. An overdraft is a short term unsecured borrowing facility on your account. Overdrafts are repayable on demand. This means that you must repay any overdraft when we ask you. 9.2 An authorised overdraft is one we have agreed with you. An automatic authorised overdraft of 250 applies to this account. 9.3 If you wish to cancel your overdraft your account must be closed. 9.4 We may increase or decrease your overdraft limit at any time for the following reasons: to respond to changes in your circumstances, your use of this agreement, or our credit assessment of you; or to respond proportionately to changes in the law, relevant regulatory requirements, statements or practice or industry wide guidance designed to enhance consumer protection or decisions made by a court or ombudsman. 9.5 If we increase your overdraft limit, the increase will happen straight away. 9.6 If we decrease the overdraft limit, we will give you at least 14 days written notice before it happens except where we reasonably believe that: (c) you are insolvent or unable to pay your debts; there has been unauthorised or fraudulent use of your overdraft; or there is a significantly increased risk that you will be unable to repay us. 4

9.7 We may carry out searches with licensed credit reference agencies before we change your overdraft limit. 10. Authorised Overdraft charges 10.1 If your overdraft limit is 250 and you do not exceed it and you repay the amount outstanding to us when we ask you to do so, there are currently no charges under your overdraft agreement. 10.2 If your overdraft limit is more than 250 and you borrow more than 250 from us under your overdraft agreement and do not exceed the overdraft limit, you will be charged a monthly authorised overdraft usage fee, for each month that the amount you borrowed is more than 250 at any point in that month. Please see Condition 17.1 for what we mean by a month. 10.3 Please refer to our General Investment Terms and Conditions for our current tariff. 11. Unauthorised Overdrafts 11.1 If as a result of any debit to your account your account exceeds your authorised overdraft limit, it does not mean that we have agreed an increased limit or that we have checked that you have cleared funds or an authorised overdraft. 11.2 If you exceed your overdraft limit you must immediately bring the overdraft back within the authorised overdraft limit. 11.3 If you do not repay any unauthorised borrowing in full within 28 days from the date we issue a Notice of Formal Demand, we reserve the right to register the account as defaulting with one or more licensed credit reference agencies. If you have difficulty in repaying any money you owe us, please let us know as soon as possible. 5

12. Insufficient funds 12.1 We may decide not to allow any debit to your account if your authorised overdraft limit would be exceeded. 13. Overdraft interest 13.1 Interest is not charged on the amount of your overdraft. 14. Debiting of charges 14.1 We will give you 14 days notice in writing before debiting overdraft charges to your account. 15. Unauthorised transactions 15.1 If a transaction happens which you believe is unauthorised or you have lost your Debit Card or account details, please let us know immediately. 15.2 This Condition 15 applies if the transaction uses some or all of your overdraft. If the transaction uses part of your overdraft and part of your money this Condition 15 only applies to the part which used your overdraft. 15.3 You are responsible for the transaction if: it was authorised by you, or if it was authorised by someone you gave your consent to, or the transaction was made using the Debit Card when it was in a third party s possession with your consent. 15.4 You are responsible for 50 of loss resulting from use of the Debit Card when it is not in your possession because it has been lost or stolen (unless you have given us notice under Condition 15.1 before any loss happens). 15.5 You are not responsible for any transactions after you have given us notice under Condition 15.1.

16. Account Closure 16.1 See our General Investment Terms and Conditions for details of the conditions which apply when you or we wish to close your account. 16.2 You cannot close this account online. 16.3 We may continue to deduct from your account the amount of any Debit Card transaction (and any charges incurred) made by you but not deducted prior to the suspension or return (and receipt by us) of the Debit Card and which are paid by us after suspension or return (and receipt by us). 16.4 At account closure we will require you to repay any money owed to us, including the amount of any overdraft and the amount of any Debit Card transactions you have made and which are paid by us after closure, and any charges incurred. 16.5 We may delay the closure of your account for up to 28 days in order to enable transactions to be processed. 17. Miscellaneous 17.1 In these Specific Terms, when we refer to a month we mean the period starting on the day after the date of your account statement, up to and including the date of your next statement. 17.2 This account is a Payment Account. 17.3 This account does not automatically have a nominated bank account feature.
