Who s EIPA? Europe s leading centre of excellence on European integration and the new challenges for public management. Created in 1981 on the occasion of the first European Council held in Maastricht. The Board of Governors is composed of representatives of the EU Member States. Self sustaining (partly financed by the EU Commission and the Member States) EIPA has over 150 employees from more than 20 different countries. 2

EIPA s Work learning & development Consultancy Research Seminars Address the latest developments and upcoming challenges in key areas of European affairs and public management. Training Courses Short and to the point; intensive and interactive. Open/contract EIPA delivers open activities for which participants register individually. Our contract activities are customised to the clients own needs. EIPA provides consultancy to European public administrations and agencies. Tailor-made solutions for particular needs are offered. EIPA delivers strategic advice and partners client organisations in action-oriented business support programmes. Research at EIPA is an integral part of its mission: by bridging theory and practice it adds a distinctive contribution to learning about the management of Europe. EIPA conducts research on key issues of European integration and public management. 4
