Definitions: Account- Any combination of billable services provided to a family including all registered students past and present. Delinquent Account- Delinquent account is the result of not making payments according to the scheduled fee payment for any bill. Including but not limited to; tuition, lunch, sports and any other service provided by the school. In addition, open balances from prior year are also considered delinquent. Guardian- Any person(s) that have legal custody and responsibility to provide for the students education. 2
1:1 Registration Fees: In order to be eligible for fall enrollment and course selection for scheduling, all students must be registered on or before the dead line (posted on website). Payment is due at time of registration. Tuition Assistance, students receiving tuition assistance may defer payment at time of registration (follow online registration for exclusion). The registration fee Payment for families receiving tuition assistance will be amortized evenly over all tuition payments chosen by the family in the available payment plan options. Discounts Will be applied to the registration fee for students who are awarded tuition assistance only. The amount will be equal to the percentage of tuition discount. For example, if the tuition assistance resulted in a 10% discount on tuition then it would result in a 10% discount on the registration fee as well. Late Registration Fees apply to all students and are due at time of registration, regardless of scholarship or tuition assistance. Late registration can result in a scheduling conflict and/or academic course availability. There are no discounts for late registration fees. All employees are excluded from registration fee discounts. Refunds: There is No refund for registration fees except for the following condition(s). a. If the family is expecting a certain amount of tuition assistance and the amount awarded does not meet the family budget, therefore resulting in the family withdrawing from enrollment before fall classes commence, the registration fee will not be assessed, on the condition that the applicant at least qualified for some tuition assistance. 3
1:2 Tuition: All Families must register a SCA Parent Account to set up a payment plan. Payment options are as follows; a. Pay In Full by July 1. (Discount Applied if Available) b. 2 payments (Due on or before July 1 and Nov. 1) Processing Fees Apply c. 4 payments (Due on or before July 1, Sept. 1, Nov. 1, Jan. 1) Processing Fees Apply d. 10 month (Must be Approved) Processing Fees Apply Refunds: Once a student is registered and in attendance there is no refund for tuition. Exceptions: None 1:3 Other Fees (Lunch, Sports etc.): All other fees will follow the monthly billing cycle provided by those departments or service providers and be available for payment online or by check to the business department. Failure to make payments on time will result in all accounts being delinquent. Refunds: Once a student is registered and in attendance in a sport there are no refunds. Exceptions: None 4
1:4 Payment Methods: Payment methods are as follows; ACH- (Automatic Clearing House [electronic transfer]) set up through web account service. Check- Send directly to the business office in person or by mail or processed electronically through web service. Money Order - sent directly to the business office in person or by mail Credit Card -(Processing Fees Apply) Cash -payments in excess of $500 are not permissible. It is advised for those choosing to pay in cash to acquire a money order or certified check by a local bank or store. 1:5 Remedies for Delinquent Accounts: Delinquent account - is the result of not making payments according to the scheduled fee payment for any bill. Including but not limited to; tuition, lunch, sports and any other service provided by the school. In addition, open balances from prior year are also considered delinquent. In the event an account has become delinquent, the following remedies apply. Late Fee - of $25 per occurrence. Registration -for Next Academic year is denied for all members of account. Lunch Service - will NOT be provided for all members of account, except for the following condition(s). o If any student of the delinquent account does not bring a lunch then the school will provide lunch to the student at the expense of the student account. Sports - tryouts are permissible; however enrollment for sport is not permissible until account balances become current. School Trips - that have additional costs associated are not permissible until account balances become current. Report Card - will be withheld from all members of a delinquent account Transcripts - will be withheld from all members of a delinquent account Diploma - will be withheld from all members of a delinquent account (however, student will be able to participate in graduation) Volunteer Work - is NOT permissible for students or their parents to pay down delinquent accounts. 5
