A-Z of Fundraising Ideas A - F Auction Hold an auction at a special venue, club, group or home. Local businesses are often very generous and will donate items for you to auction, just ask us for a Letter of Authority before you get started. You could ask friends and family to contribute too. Bake Off Show off your baking skills and take part in a good old fashioned competition with family, friends or work colleagues. It s an easy way to raise money - and you get to eat lots of cake too! Charity of the Year Your business, school, place of worship or club can easily choose us as their Charity of the Year by holding various fundraising fun activities throughout the year. We ll support you every step of the way. Dinner Dance Host an evening of delicious food and dancing for a wonderful night of fundraising. Players or teams could make a donation to enter the competition and ask family and friends for sponsorship for taking part. Hair for Havens Let your imagination run wild and ask your fellow students, colleagues, family and friends to sport the craziest hair style they can in return for a small donation. International Day Travel around the world with friends without having to leave your home. Host an evening of international fun with themed dinners, games and more. Simply ask your guests for a donation to attend. Jumble Sale If you ve got a lot of junk and items that need a new home, holding a jumble sale or going to a car boot sale is an easy and simple way to raise funds for Havens Hospices. Karaoke Get your best singing voices ready and host a singing competition at your school, club, group or work. You could charge donations for entry or ask singers to make a small donation for every song they sing on the night. Lunch Party Why not use your lunch break to host a small party for your colleagues for Havens Hospices? Take your guests on a trip to Wonderland by dressing as your favourite character and serve tea and cake in return for a donation. Non-Uniform Day It s an easy way to get your school involved with raising money for Havens Hospices. The average school could raise around 800 by asking each student to donate 1 to take part. Onesie Day Like a dress down day but more cosy for the winter season. Asking for a small donation for every onesie that is worn by your coworkers and friends is a simple and fun way to help out your local hospices. Photography If one of your talents and skills is photography, then why not put it to good use and use it to raise money for Havens Hospices? Either create and sell cards from you pictures for donations, or host an exhibition of your work and charge entry. Quiz Night Test yourself, your friends and family with a night of general knowledge and fun. Ask for a donation per entry or team. You can even hold a raffle on the night. Talent Contest Everyone has a talent! Put them to good use and host an X-Factor or Britain s Got Talent style contest at your school or col-lege for Havens Hospices. Vintage Car Day Show off your prized possession with fellow enthusiasts and host a Vintage Car Day for Havens Hospices and charge donations for entry. Wine and Cheese Tasting Add a little sophistication to your fundraising and invite friends and family to a wine and cheese tasting evening for Havens Hospices. Zumba-thon Get friends and family together to have a great time dancing, staying fit and raising money for Havens Hospices.
