ABOUT THE COMPANY AAR started its operations in 1984 with its primary business being medical evacuations of accident casualties both by road and by air. Membership increased along with numbers of customers, hence creating more opportunities to provide comprehensive health. Our response to emerging market opportunities, our flexibility, innovation and readiness to respond to customer needs has made us a leader in medical Insurance in East Africa. This growth led to formation of an independent company AAR Insurance Kenya Limited, which offers a wide range of medical and nonmedical insurance products. Today AAR Insurance has a presence across the region through its intensive branch and broker network. AAR Insurance is also a licensed financial service provider and a member of the Association of Kenyan Insurers. We have distinguished ourselves as dynamic thought leaders by providing flexible and simple insurance solutions to empower Africa s people; the cornerstone of a strong economy. MILESTONES 1984 Africa Air Rescue Company accident and medical evacuation services by road and air is started in Nairobi, Kenya. 2000 The AAR Beckmann Trust, named in memory of one of the founding directors Bengt Beckmann, is born. Its mission is to produce positive and sustainable social, economic and environmental impact for the business and society in general. 2004 Project Ventures International (PVI) becomes a shareholder in AAR Group. 1991 AAR Kenya expands into heathcare services by becoming a medical insurance provider. 2011 2010 IFHA commits to invest KShs 750 million in the AAR Group. The AAR Group s shareholders resolve to separate the business into two distinct units, AAR Healthcare and AAR Insurance. 2015 2005 AAR opens its Kigali operations. 2007 AAR Insurance Tanzania begins operations and is granted an insurance license. E-OXEGENE AAR launched a revolutionary integrated system eoxygene in November 2014, which has many unique features to its credit. The system is able to offer complete range of operations pertaining to health Insurance from origination of product (policy underwriting) up to the claim adjudication, servicing functions and payment. The range includes application data entry, field verification, policy check, document management, disbursement billing. The system is accessible to AAR Insurance staff, Scheme administrators, Corporate and retail clients, Sales teams and providers. 24HR CALL CENTRE In line with AAR Insurance (K) Limited s Mission of delivering value by empowering people to take control of the things that matter most, AAR Insurance has established a Contact Centre department for the purpose of ensuring provision of consistent, positive and enviable customer experience. The Contact Centre platform is a facility through which AAR Insurance (K) shall manage its existing and potential clients through AAR Insurance authorized media. Through the established relationship channels, the Contact Centre shall be able to provide a response mechanism to customers queries and an avenue through which service offers may be fulfilled.
