Group Executive Services (GES) Tariff of Charges
The information, rates and prices in this Tariff are correct as at 29 January 2016. The contents of this Tariff apply to all HSBC Group Executive Services (GES) customers. Tariff This Tariff lists the charges for the most common transactions and services available from HSBC Expat. If you require further details, please contact your relationship manager. Where charges are expressed in sterling, for non-sterling accounts the currency equivalent amount will be deducted. References in this Tariff to the UK also include Jersey. There are many ways of avoiding or reducing bank charges. At the back of this Tariff, you ll find information on some of the many options available to you. 1
1. Accounts 1.1 Premier customers 1.1.1 To qualify for our Premier service, customers need to maintain a relationship balance with us of at least 60,000 or currency equivalent. However, all GES customers automatically qualify for our Premier service and the minimum balance requirement is waived. 1.1.2 If you leave the employment of the HSBC Group and continue to hold an account, then you must maintain a minimum of 60,000 to continue to benefit from the Premier service. Alternatively, the Advance service is available for balances of 25,000 and above. As an Advance customer, if your relationship balance falls under 25,000, then you may be required to pay an underfunding fee. To find out more about the fees applicable to both these services, please refer to the general Tariff of Charges applicable to customers, available on our website www.expat.hsbc.com. However, if you retire from HSBC, you will retain your staff benefits throughout your retirement. 2 You will be exempt from the monthly charge in the following circumstances: If you hold 60,000 or currency equivalent in any of the following products or services from HSBC Expat. A Market Linked Guaranteed account or an HSBC Expat InvestDirect International account. If you have an investment with us, or have made an investment via the HSBC Expat Wealth Management team. 1.2 How is your relationship balance calculated? 1.2.1 Every month, your relationship balance will be calculated by adding up the average daily balances of all your accounts in the same name. Relationship balance calculation for sole accounts: you will be able to combine the balances on your sole accounts and all related joint accounts in calculating your sole relationship balance.
Relationship balance calculation for joint accounts: in order to protect your privacy, we cannot include balances on your sole accounts when calculating the relationship balance of your joint relationship. This means that joint accounts will need to maintain separately the minimum relationship balance. 1.3 Bank account 1.3.1 Authorised overdrafts are charged at 2.5% over the relevant currency base rate. Details of the current authorised and unauthorised rates charged can be obtained by calling your relationship manager 1.4 Arrangement fees 1.4.1 GES Premier customers can enjoy arrangement fee-free overdrafts up to 5,000 (or currency equivalent) and should contact their relationship manager for further details. 1.5 Fixed Deposit accounts early withdrawals 1.5.1 Withdrawals at any time other than maturity will incur a 50 handling fee plus the cost to HSBC Expat of funding the repayment. Any interest earned up until the date of early withdrawal will be paid, subject to the above fees being met. 1.6 Online share dealing 1.6.1 HSBC Expat InvestDirect International is provided by HSBC Bank plc in the UK. Details of the online share dealing service charges can be found at www.expat.hsbc.com. 1.7 International services 1.7.1 Your relationship manager can help you set up banking and savings accounts in many countries around the world within the HSBC Group. GES Premier customers receive this service for free. 3
2. Payments from your account There will be no charge for making payments and transfers to other banks within the HSBC Group or banks outside the HSBC Group. Please note, we are not responsible for any charges deducted by correspondent banks. Note: a fee of 25 will be charged for payment related investigative work, where we are found not to be at fault. 2.1 Fees shared When remitting a payment, the default position in relation to charges is Fees shared. This means that your account will be debited in accordance with the fees set out in this section. Any additional charges applied by the receiving/correspondent banks will be debited from the payment amount which is being transferred. 2.2 Fees paid by payee When remitting funds, you can elect Fees paid by payee. Please note that this means that the relevant fees set out in this section will be deducted from the amount transferred. Any additional charges applied by the receiving/ correspondent banks will also be debited from the payment amount which is being transferred. 2.3 Fees paid by me When remitting funds, you can elect Fees paid by me. Please note that this means that the amount transferred will be sent in full while an additional 10 ( 15 for payments in USD*) will be charged to you to pay the receiving/ correspondent bank charges. This is in addition to the relevant fees set out in this section. Please note that if the actual charge incurred by the receiving/ correspondent bank exceeds this amount, we will debit your account with the extra cost at a later date. You may contact us for details of the charge. *As required by United States Regulations, all USD remittances are routed through HSBC Bank USA and incur higher costs, resulting in an increased processing fee of 15.00. 4
