Our UK corporate and fiduciary services business has eight professionals based in London, with extensive experience in ABS, RMBS, CMBS and covered bonds programmes as well as other bespoke UK SPV solutions. The team administers a growing book of public and private transactions, including RMBS, auto and personal loan warehousing facilities. Sam Ellis Senior Vice President sam.ellis@maplesfs.com Sam Ellis has over 15 years' financial services experience with corporate and fiduciary services providers, investment banks and law firms. He is an independent director on a variety of structured finance vehicles and investment funds, including credit and CLO vehicles. Prior to joining Maples Fiduciary in 2011, Sam was a Vice President at Macquarie, London, working on capital markets transactions. Sam also worked for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Sam graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce and an LLB (Honours) degree. He is a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, an Accredited Director with Chartered Secretaries Canada and a member of the UK Institute of Directors. Sam s clients have included asset management arms of global investment banks, CLO issuers, international private equity firms, European, North American and Asian hedge funds, insurers and UK and foreign listed companies. Jennifer Jones Vice President jennifer.jones@maplesfs.com Jennifer has over 10 years experience in structured finance securitisation structures. Jennifer has acted as corporate services provider and security trustee on these structures. Jennifer joined MaplesFS in 2017. Previously Jennifer worked at Capita Asset Solutions in 2016 as a Senior Client Manager. Prior to this, she worked at SFM Europe as a Senior Transaction Manager and was responsible for negotiating and managing a wide range of structured finance transactions from incorporation through to the winding up of the SPV. Before joining SFM Europe, she worked in Allen & Overy LLP s securitisation department for four years as a Transaction Executive. Jennifer has a wide range of experience, having worked with challenger banks, leading UK high street banks and building societies, private equity houses and global investment banks along with many small and mid-sized UK originators on a variety of structures ranging from warehouse structures, ABS, RMBS and CMBS, covered bond programmes and bespoke structures.
Charles Leahy Vice President charles.leahy@maplesfs.com Charles has over 15 years' securitisation experience, having worked in group treasury, trust and agency and corporate services. Experiencing the different perspectives of these parties gives Charles unique insights. Charles previously worked at Law Debenture as a Senior Transaction Manager, where he was responsible for negotiating new structured finance transactions and restructurings and acting as an SPV director. Charles also spent six years working at The Bank of New York Mellon, London as a Senior Relationship Manager in Corporate Trust, where he was responsible for their largest structured finance relationship in Europe. Charles' securitisation experience started at St. George Bank, Sydney in capital markets, group treasury. At the time, St. George was the largest Australian balance sheet RMBS issuer. Charles has worked with UK high street banks, private equity firms and hedge funds, as well as small to mid-sized UK originators. His product experience includes ABS, MBS, warehouses, whole-of-business securitisations, LPNs, DPRs and cat bonds. Michael Drew Vice President michael.drew@maplesfs.com Michael has over 13 years' experience in structured finance, having worked on an array of securitisation structures including ABS, RMBS, covered bond programmes, CMBS, whole business securitisations, CLOs and conduits / SIVs. Michael joined Maples Fiduciary in 2016. Previously, he worked at SFM Europe from 2009 as a Senior Transaction Manager, where he was responsible for negotiating structured finance transactions, ongoing account management for closed transactions and managing transaction defaults and restructurings. Michael s securitisation experience started at JPMorgan as a Relationship Manager for a number of CDOs and moved internally to take up a similar position for a portfolio of conduit transactions. Michael s clients have included collateral managers, leading UK high street banks and building societies, global investment banks and private equity firms.
