persons usg multiple providers. 1 This reports provides estimates of the homeless dividuals and persons families Shelter and transitional housg programs that participate HMIS, as well as those that do not participate HMIS. The estimate is an extrapolated count and is based on the assumption that beds located programs that do not participate HMIS are occupied at the same rate as beds located HMIS-participatg programs. The complete derivation of the total extrapolation factors is detailed the next table. Addg values across categories will double count persons who appeared multiple types of programs. The estimates do not clude persons that are served by "victim service providers," cludg rape crisis centers, battered women's shelters, domestic violence transitional housg programs, and other programs whose primary mission is to provide services to victims of domestic violence, datg violence, sexual assault, or stalkg. 2 These results are generated by multiplyg the HMIS data by the Extrapolation Factor (Step 11, table 2.) 3 These values are generated by multiplyg the HMIS data by the Pot-In-Time Extrapolation Factor (Step 13, table 2.) 4 These results are generated by multiplyg the HMIS data by the Extrapolation Factor (Step 11, table 2.) 5 These values are generated by multiplyg the HMIS data by the Pot-In-Time Extrapolation Factor (Step 13, table 2.) 6 These results are generated by dividg the HMIS data on persons on an average night by the total beds HMIS. 7 These results represent the average number of people who use each bed. It is generated by dividg the unduplicated count of persons recorded HMIS, by the total number of beds HMIS 8 These results are generated by multiplyg the HMIS data by the Extrapolation Factor (Step 11, table 2). * This value is generated by multiplyg the sum of the extrpolated number of persons each category by an overlap factor, which accounts for persons who use multiple categories. This value is based on the overlap rates among participatg programs and adjusted to account for possible overlap non-participatg providers. In this site the adjustment factor is: For the PIT. These values are generated by addg the pot time counts across categories. It is assumed that persons do not appear multiple programs on the same night. Site Level Notes Report Reportg Year: 10/1/2011-9/30/2012 Site: Nebraska Balance of State Shelters for Families Total Number of Persons Families Who Used Shelters Durg Covered Time Period - 12/4/2012 12:45:17 PM, BOS has a total of 105 family beds not countg DV. of those 105 beds there are 45 non participatg HMIS. I need to add 3.64 family beds based off of programs that do homeless motel vouchers and are not on the HIC from 2011. Total HMIS beds is 63.64 and non HMIS is 60.00. - 12/10/2012 7:39:21 AM, Azim, I transposed my numbers, There are 105 family beds the HIC. There are 60 non participatg leavg 45 HMIS and I added the 3.64 voucher beds from all the homeless motel vouchers that are not listed the HIC. - 1/2/2013 10:40:53 AM, I added the NON HMIS Crossroads beds on 1c. How many Persons Families were usg Shelters - 11/9/2012 10:35:27 AM, I have added the voucher beds based off of the guidance from HUD. I added the voucher beds from the pit nights. - 12/10/2012 8:17:49 AM, I have used the facility beds of 45 and used the calculations as I did for Lcoln, although we have homeless motel vouchers throughout the year there were non used on the 4 nights. Unfortunately this is the first time for me dog the BOS and the numbers are what they are. We plan on assistg with bed coverage the BOS throughout the comg year. Shelters for Total Number of Who Used Shelters Durg Covered Time Period - 10/31/2012 7:52:59 AM, Per the HIC for ES_IND there are a total of 170 beds with 60 participation leavg 110 non participatg providers. - 11/9/2012 10:41:33 AM, BOS lost shelter beds i HMIS due to fundg for a shelter. CCFL will be workg with the agency for participation. - 1/2/2013 10:44:02 AM, Added the NON HMIS beds from Crossroads. How many were usg Shelters - 12/4/2012 12:53:49 PM, The ES_IND beds total 142 on HIC, less the Non HIMS of 50 and addg 1.45 for Homeless Hotel vouchers the total beds is 51.45. Tamara - 12/10/2012 8:21:54 AM, I have calculated the beds accordg to the HIC and given the number of those use on each pit night. Persons by Household Type - 11/9/2012 10:44:17 AM, This could be due to multiple households Housg for Families Total Number of Persons Families Who Used Housg Durg Covered Time Period - 12/6/2012 8:06:44 AM, There is an error the HIC. One program listed on the HIC CNCS, Hall County is NOT a housg program but a SSO and should not be listed on the HIC. This brgs the total bed count for TH_FAM to 278. - 12/10/2012 8:45:45 AM, BVCA, 56, Care Corps 19, Catholic Social 20, CNCS Thrives 62, CAPWN 3 programs 14,6,2,Crossroads 36, Hope Harbort 24, RAFT 15 and the Connection 24. 278 HMIS beds. Azim Shivji - 12/18/2012 11:35:42 AM, Abt Internal Note: The CoC later excluded Catholic Social's 20 beds (see previous note from 12/10/2012) because they are DV beds, brgg the basele total to 258 HMIS beds. But because Crossroads (36 beds) stopped usg HMIS on July 1, 2012, these beds also had to be excluded. - 1/2/2013 9:00:50 AM, Crossroads beds added to the NON HMIS beds. How many Persons Families were usg Housg - 12/10/2012 9:42:47 AM, We have a TH program (Crossroads) that quit usg HMIS July 1,2012. I have adjusted the bed counts for July 25 due to the loss of 36 beds. As the new SHP grantee's for HMIS we are workg with programs to use HMIS. I pulled data for just those programs and this would account for the youth." Total Number of Who Used Housg Durg Covered Time Period - 12/6/2012 8:12:43 AM, There is an error the HIC. One program listed on the HIC CNCS, Hall County is NOT a housg program but a SSO and should not be listed on the HIC. This brgs the total bed count for TH_IND to 140. - 12/10/2012 9:56:57 AM, Azim, I am countg 4 IND beds for Care Corps, 13 for CNCS SHP, Cirrus House 9, CAPWN 2 and 7, Crossroads 36 until 7/1/2012, Hope Harbor 34 and the Connection 28 for a total of 140 and 17 non from Columbus Mission. Yes the 5 d are from the CNCS Hall County which is an SSO. - 12/11/2012 3:19:02 PM, Per your calculations Azim Shivji - 12/18/2012 11:37:01 AM, Abt Internal Note: 45 beds from the Crossroads shelter were excluded because the program stopped usg HMIS on July 1, 2012. How many were usg Housg - 12/6/2012 8:16:40 AM, We have a TH program that quit usg HMIS July 1,2012. I have adjusted the bed counts for July 25 due to the loss of 45 beds. As the new SHP grantee's for HMIS we are workg with programs to use HMIS. - 12/20/2012 7:47:29 AM, Azim, I have pulled the agencies dividually and aga, do not know these programs as yet and can really not give you an explanation. It does appear that most programs BOS that have ES and TH have most of their consumers TH comg from their own ES and they often times go back to the same ES. We will as the new SHP funded HMIS contract be contactg each ES and TH BOS to fd out eligibility requirements as well as updatg all HIC when we complete the PIT January. - 1/4/2013 3:55:16 PM, After reviewg each program for the date of 10/26 I realized why this number was higher than the pots time. I started supportg the The Connection 2011. The workflow previously was that they entered a person to a program and then exited them. Unfortunately they were not exitg persons so we started usg ShelterPot which allows them to enter them to see all participants their program at a glance. To move them to shelterpot they had to create a new entry sheltererpot and then end them on the old one. This caused two identical entries. This housg program has 28 IND beds. If we used an average for this date the numbers would be aligned with all the rest. Housg for Families Total Number of Persons Families Who Used Housg Durg Covered Time Period - 12/6/2012 12:27:12 PM, One program that was under construction is now reportg HMIS. HIC shows 80 PSH_FAM beds BOS with only 6 of those reportg HMIS. Housg for Total Number of Who Used Housg Durg Covered Time Period - 12/6/2012 12:32:34 PM, BOS had one PSH_IND bed that was not reportg last year but is this year.
