Meet the Professionals 4 MORGAN STANLEY

David Stuart Financial Planning Specialist Executive Director Financial Advisor David has 36 years of experience as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley. After graduating from American University with a degree in Political Science and Finance, David spent three years as a loan officer with Riggs National Bank and then joined EF Hutton in 1977. As a 35 year member of Morgan Stanley s Director s Council, his focus is comprehensive wealth management for individuals including investments, retirement / estate planning, insurance and annuities. David was named among Washington s Premier Wealth Advisors ( 11, 12) by the National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices. David is an avid Capitals and Nationals fan and enjoys golfing at River Bend Country Club near his home in Great Falls, Virginia. Michael Stuart, CFP Financial Planning Specialist Vice President Financial Advisor Michael has worked in finance since his graduation from Tufts University in 2000 with a degree in Economics and Political Science. At Tufts, Michael played varsity ice hockey and golf, and was President of his fraternity, Theta Delta Chi. After four years in Boston, Michael excelled as an Equity Trader for E*Trade Financial in New York City. Michael spent five years trading in Manhattan before coming to Washington to join The Stuart Group. He brings to the team a focus on comprehensive retirement and investment planning, including life and long-term care insurance. He is a member of River Bend Country Club and is an avid Capitals and Redskins fan. Michael lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife, Jessica, and daughter, Skylar. Ryan Stuart Financial Planning Specialist Financial Advisor Ryan joined the Stuart Group in 2006, not long after his brother, Michael. He is a Financial Advisor earning the firm s Financial Planning Specialist title. He focuses on assisting affluent individuals and their families reach their financial goals through a comprehensive wealth management strategy. Ryan is the team member to turn to for managed future and private equity investing. He specializes in developing unique option strategies for clients. He is a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in Finance and Accounting. Out of the office Ryan is often on the golf course. Ryan played Division I golf at JMU, is a near scratch golfer and a member of River Bend Club in Great Falls, Virginia. Along with his love of golf, Ryan shares his father and brother s love of the Washington Capitals. THE STUART GROUP 5

Carrie Philips, CRPC Senior Registered Associate The newest member of the Stuart Group, Carrie moved from Chicago to join the team in June of 2012. She has worked at Morgan Stanley since 2008, but has been in the financial services industry since graduating from Northwestern University in 2005. With a degree in journalism, Carrie brings a unique set of talents to the team. In addition to her significant client relationship skills and attention to detail, Carrie has obtained her insurance license, rounding out what we can offer to the client experience with the Stuart Group. Carrie lives in Arlington, Virginia, and remains a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, and Northwestern Wildcats. Deborah Harris Senior Registered Associate Deborah joined the Stuart Group in February of 2011 and has been with Morgan Stanley and its predecessors for the past 30 years. She is our team manager and our clients first point of contact for most administrative requests, or when a client is simply looking for the right person on the team for assistance and, along with Carrie, can often be a one stop shop in helping our clients with all their needs. Her years of experience benefit our team and our clients, as Debbie is able to offer a breadth of knowledge and understanding. Debbie lives in Fredericksburg, Maryland with her husband and two busy, beautiful, and sweet daughters. Debbie also has her hands full caring for four Dachshunds and three cats.
