SPANISH & ITALIAN PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS UPDATE The Post-Recession Position Law Society Finuas Network in association with the School of Law International Group Date: Friday 31 March 2017 Time 9:00 am to 5:15 pm Venue: Green Hall Lecture Theatre, The Law Society of Ireland, Dublin Fee: 176 Discounted* Fee: 150 CPD Hours: 7 General (by Group Study) Seminar Code F1705 Aim and Objectives The aim of the seminar is to alert practitioners to any pitfalls and risks that may be incurred by their clients in carrying out real property transactions and/or activities relating to wills and probate and insolvency proceedings, focusing on mortgage default, management company arrears and property taxes by giving an overview of the main issues of law, procedures and actions/remedies available in Italy and Spain. This seminar is open to Accountant and Notaries Public and will create an opportunity for Irish, Spanish and Italian lawyers, accountants and notaries to network with a view to sharing knowledge and challenges for the mutual benefit of their clients over lunch and at the training breaks. The objective is that Irish practitioners are in a position to give broad advice to their clients in relation to property in Italy and Spain: whether buying or selling property, passing on the property by will or otherwise and in relation to any Insolvency issues that may arise in relation to the property. Maurizio Dioguardi, Italian qualified lawyer in Italy and Abogado in Spain, is founder and partner of the Dioguardi International Law firm, based in Rome and Madrid. Padraic Courtney, Law Society of Ireland. Padraic qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and has worked for the Law Society s Law School as a course manager, specialising in Probate and Taxation for over twenty years, and holds the Law Society Diploma in Property Tax. A registered Trust & Estate Practitioner and former Committee member of STEP Ireland, he is also a founding Committee member of SFE Ireland and secretary to the Law Society of Ireland Probate, Administration & Trusts Committee.
