Country indexes are maintained for each represented market. The industry indexes are created according to definitions used by Dow Jones Indexes proprietary classification system. They are maintained at both the country and regional level. More-granular sector indexes are also available. The size-segment indexes (large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap) are defined by cumulative market capitalizations. They are maintained at both the country and regional level. The Dow Jones Global Indexes SM were first calculated on September 18, 2000.
