You ll be able to compare your exposure data to industry averages and distributions of insurance-to-value, construction, occupancy, and other attributes, as well as compensate for missing or inappropriate exposure data.

Efficient Portfolio Analysis Using CLASIC/2 This session will review best practices for analyzing portfolio risk and provide tips for taking full advantage of the latest enhancements available in CLASIC/2. Learn how to properly structure exposure and analysis options to minimize analysis time, utilize CLASIC/2 s new import treaty feature, make the most of custom event sets, and more. Efficient Report Generation in CLASIC/2 and CATRADER AIR ExportExpress provides a simple and powerful method of extracting information from CLASIC/2 that complements the numerous predefined reports and text file exports available in the software. This session will also explain CLASIC/2 s and CATRADER s underlying database structures and demonstrate how users can write SQL queries to extract any exposure or loss data that have been saved to the database. Improving CLASIC/2 Analyses Based on Aggregate Data through Exposure Disaggregation A For several of AIR s detailed catastrophe models, CLASIC/2 enables users to employ exposure disaggregation to improve the analysis of aggregated exposure data. This session will discuss where disaggregation is available, how it works, and the benefits of using it for each model. Improving Your Exposure Data through TruExposure Data Solutions TruExposure Data Solutions in CLASIC/2 will encompass data validation, benchmarking and augmentation using high-quality data sources from ISO. AIR s Consulting Group provides data preparation and cleansing, as well as a full data management review. In this session learn how TruExposure Data Solutions can help insurers and reinsurers alike improve the quality of exposure data used for portfoliolevel catastrophe analysis. Integrating Multiple Views of Risk for Decision- Making A While best practices and professional standards encourage consideration of multiple independently-generated views of catastrophe risk, business necessity often requires the presentation to senior decision makers of a single, integrated view. However, blending results from multiple models, which may be based on different statistical frameworks, can be technically challenging. This session will provide sound techniques for integrating and extending multiple sets of results that minimize bias and sampling error. Introduction to Catastrophe Modeling N This session will explore the fundamentals of modeling, including stochastic catalog generation, damage estimation, and insured loss calculation. We will address questions such as How are catastrophe models constructed, What can you expect from a catastrophe model, and more. Introduction to Interpreting Model Results N This session will discuss best practices for interpreting model results. Topics include aggregation of risk across regions and perils, validation of model results against historical data, sensitivity of analysis results to changes in data and assumptions, and the actuarial principles associated with the risk metrics produced by AIR s models. Introduction to the Application of Policy Conditions and Reinsurance in CLASIC/2 N This session will review the wide range of insurance and reinsurance conditions available in CLASIC/2. All location and policy-level deductibles and limits will be covered, along with information as to how the modeler can attach individual risk-based reinsurance. The session will also discuss how to correctly code complex financial conditions in exposure data and choose appropriate analysis options. Managing Severe Storm Risk Using CLASIC/2 and CATStation Managing severe storm risk using traditional actuarial methods that rely on actual loss experience can be unreliable. This session will provide a high-level overview of AIR s severe storm models and show how to optimize their performance in CLASIC/2 and CATStation.
