We ve made further enhancements to our bespoke Governance Reports including more customised scheme-specific insight that can be aligned to governance meeting agendas. Our proposition makes it easy for employees to make the most of Pension Freedoms and access their savings at retirement. We can take a range of instructions over the phone, leading to quicker payment of tax free cash.
We continue to make substantial investment in developing our proposition. This includes continuing to transform our digital capability to create the best customer experience. Through our acquisition of Zurich Corporate Savings, we ve expanded our workplace savings proposition to offer broader, more flexible solutions to help meet a wider range of customer needs. Our refreshed range of investment choices includes our ready-made Pension Investment Approaches which have continued to deliver strong performance since their launch in 2006. We ve acted on research, customer behaviour and adviser feedback by switching our default glidepath from targeting annuity to targeting flexible access for new schemes and existing customers investing in our default fund. This year we re again proud to have been awarded: FDs Excellence Awards Pension Firm of the Year Pensions Age Awards Pensions Provider of the Year Defaqto 5 Star rating for Workplace Pension (GPP).
We offer in-depth technical analysis and support for industry legislation through our Financial Planning team who deliver TechTalk and our masterclass series. We ve transformed our bulk transfer service and made further enhancements to our individual online transfer process to make it even easier for employees to consolidate their pension pots. Through enhanced information online, tools, videos, MI and mailings, we ve provided a range of support for the step-ups in minimum AE contributions. In 2017, through our tailored suite of innovative communications, we helped over 800 employers engage with their employees and promote financial wellness in the workplace. This, along with our lifestage-aligned communications helps employees identify where they are on their retirement journey and better engage with saving. For the third year running we are the lead sponsor of Pension Awareness Day and the Pension Awareness Bus to help raise awareness of the value of saving in a pension. In 2017, we took the bus to 30 large employer sites across the country.
