Maximizing Your NAMIC Membership Kristen Spriggs Vice President Member Development NAMIC Indianapolis, Ind. As a member of the NAMIC team serving more than 1,400 property/casualty insurance companies throughout the United States, Canada, and around the world, Kristen Spriggs leads the effort in the development and promotion of educational events, products and services, and knowledge resources that benefit member companies. She is involved in the marketing and development of the association s corporate governance resources and education for member companies boards of directors, which include the Directors Education Series, Directors Boot Camp and Advanced Courses, and the Farm Mutual Director Certification program. She serves as the staff liaison to more than 10 of the association s committees and two of the boards of directors that govern NAMIC. She also oversees annual convention responsibilities. Kristen joined NAMIC in 2002 as Property Casualty Conference marketing manager in the member services department. Under her leadership, NAMIC s educational programs have grown by 31 percent and reached a level of consistent profitability with overall attendee satisfaction averaging more than 95 percent each year. In 2004, Kristen was promoted to director; in 2007, to assistant vice president; and in 2009, to vice president of member development. Prior to joining NAMIC, Kristen worked in the publishing industry as marketing and product development manager for a regional women s publication and a national tourism publication. She began her insurance career in 1997 as a property claims adjuster with Citizens Insurance a member of the Hanover Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science in public relations with an emphasis in marketing from Indiana State University. In 2007, Kristen attained certification from the Institute for Organizational Management. Terry Suttner Vice President Membership NAMIC Indianapolis, Ind. Terry Suttner is vice president of membership for NAMIC. Terry joined the NAMIC staff in 2009, but he was no stranger to the association. Before joining NAMIC, he served as business development director for American Partners Bank, a NAMIC-affiliated company. In

his more-than-25-year insurance industry career, Terry has held various positions in sales, management, and marketing. As vice president of membership and insurance services, Terry works to build and retain the NAMIC membership. He works with the NAMIC Insurance Agency to market and grow its client base. He also works with vendors to develop and sell business products and services that are valuable to NAMIC members. Terry is a veteran of the United States Army. He earned his bachelor s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a licensed multi-lines agent in Indiana, and he earned his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1995.
