Health strand eligible actions Analytical activities: e.g. surveys, studies, statistics, monitoring/assessment of the transposition and application of Union law. Policy implementation: e.g. cross-border partnerships, transnational cooperation and partnerships, health crisis preparedness exercises. Capacity building: e.g. of EU-level networks, national contact points, stakeholders. Communication and dissemination: e.g. mutual learning, peer reviews, benchmarking, guides, reports, informative material and media coverage, information systems, Presidency events, conferences and seminars.

A glance at the past (present)
What is the ESF? The EU s key instrument for investing in people (78.2 billion in 2007-2013 and over 86 billion in 2014-2020) Established under the Treaty in 1957, it is the oldest of the Structural Funds. Its mission is to improve employment opportunities for people in the Union (Article 162 TFEU). It also contributes to economic, social and territorial cohesion (Articles 174 and 175 TFEU)
