Furthermore, the Isle of Man Life Assurance (Compensation of Policyholders) Regulations 1991 make provision for the payment of a sum equal to 90% of the amount of any Hansard liability under a protected contract, in the unlikely event that it is unable to meet its liabilities to its policyholders.
