4 News Release SI,IC CORPORATE AFFAIRS OFFICE 40 San Miguel Avenue, Mandaluyong City, l55o Metro Manila, Philippines r SAITI MIGU L CORPORATION November 10,2017 SMG revenues for lst nine months up20% to P597 billion, new F&B unit makes up more than 30% of end-sept results San Miguel Corporation's revenues rose 20o/o to P597.0 billion for the first nine-months of the year on higher sales mainly from its core food, beverages, and packaging businesses. < Consolidated recurring net income excluding the effect of foreign exchange translation and the one-time gain from the sale of its telecommunications business last year, amounted to P43.8 billion, 21o/o higher than last year's P36.3 billion. Consolidated operating income reached P82.8 billion, 13% higher than last year, the result of sustained sales growth across its businesses and a groupwide execution of an effective fixed cost management strategy. Consolidated EBITDA reached P108.8 billion, 13o/o higher than the previous year. FOOD A].ID BEVERAGE Recently, SMC announced a plan that wouid consolidate all its traditional food and beverage businesses under a holding company through a share swap that is seen to result in significant synergies and unlock the value of units under it. Combined revenues of the consolidated units for the period in review -San Miguel Brewery, Ginebra San Miguel and San Miguel Pure Foods -amounted to P180 billion, up 1 1o/o, rr.a,king up a significant 30o/o of SMC's total revenues. Operating income of the new F&B company rose 17o/o to P29.1 billion while earnings grew 21o/o to P19.55 billion.

5 PACKAGING San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Group's revenues and operating income both grew 13o/o to P22.4 billion and P2.2 billion, respectively. The results were attributed to higher sales from its plastics and metal businesses and the continued grovrrth of its Australian operations. POWER SMC Global Power's revenues amounted to P62.1 bi!!ion, 2o/ohigher compared to last year brought about by higher average reatization and spot market prices. Operating income ended 14o/olower at P19.7 billion, due to higher coal costs, replacement power purchases, lower bilateral volumes, and the sale of the Limay Co-generation plant last year. FUEL AND OIL Petron Corporation continued to deliver outstanding results, posting profits of P11.8 billion, up 58% from last year. This was driven by its continued focus on high-value segments and strong sales volumes from both its Philippine and Malaysian operations. Consolidated revenues rose P27o/o to P313.5 billion while operating income grew 31o/o lo P22.1 billion.
