34 Financial Inclusion Branchless Banking & PMJDY: Branchless Banking operational in 4685 locations across India as at as against target of 4634 locations as at The Bank has reached a level of lakhs Basic Saving Bank Deposit Accounts (BSBDA) with a balance of Rs.245 crore as at PMJDY is profitable and the Bank had earned a profit of Rs.2.70 crore from PMJDY accounts. This fact has been recognized by Ministry of Finance and the information has been shared with all the PSBs by Ministry of Finance. Total number of 2291 villages were allocated to the Bank under PMJDY and 894 sub service areas are formed out of these villages. 951 wards in urban area has been allocated under PMJDY. The Bank, has opened 25 lakhs accounts under PMJDY (12.47 Rural & Urban) and the balance in these accounts is Rs Crore as on The average balance in the non-zero balance accounts is Rs.3298/- per account as against the national average of Rs. 2254/-. Out of the 23 lakhs accounts opened under PMJDY, RuPay card has been issued to i.e.98.42% account holders and passbooks have issued to 89.65% accountholders % of accounts opened under PMJDY have been seeded with Aadhaar numbers. 34

35 Financial Inclusion Common Service Centre (CSC): Our Bank has entered into an agreement with CSC e-governance Service India Ltd to extend the banking services using their CSCs. The CSCs will act as CBMs and carry out all banking activities being carried out by CBMs. The Bank has so far engaged 171 CSCs & the CSCs have carried out 29,333 transactions amounting till 7.03 Crs. till Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) & PAHAL (DBTL) scheme: Under DBTL scheme, Bank is processing two types of transactions (txns.) received from NPCI i.e. txns. with Aadhaar number (A1) and txns. with account number (A2). As on we have processed 76,71,906 - A1 txns. & 53,45,256 - A2 txns. amounting to Rs Crs & Crs. respectively. 35

36 BANCASSURANCE / SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEMES: The total Direct/Indirect tax and Customs duty collections of the Bank for the half year ended 30th September,2016 reached Rs.28,824 crore as compared to Rs.25,567crore collected during the corresponding half year. The total State VAT collections for the half year ended 30th September, 2016, reached Rs.3,423 crore as against Rs.3,370 crore during September The Bank has earned an aggregate income of Rs.4.59 crore under Govt. Business during the half year ended September 2016 as compared to Rs.4.56 crore earned during corresponding period last year. Bank has been aggressively marketing Bancassurance products like Life insurance, General insurance, Health insurance and Mutual Fund business. During the half year ended 30 th Sept 2016, Bank has earned an income of Rs.6.99 crore from these businesses as compared to Rs.6.45 crore in the previous year. Bank has earned Rs.4.94 crore from LIC business, Rs.1.92 crore from General Insurance business, Rs.0.06 crore from Health Insurance Business and Rs.0.07 crore from Mutual Fund business. 36

37 New Initiative The Bank has taken up a project to bring the latest, most modern version of core banking solution with Finacle software in collaboration with Wipro Ltd. This was a technology transformation initiative covering core transaction processing channels across branches, Internet and mobile banking, and included risk-based internal audit and enterprise performance management applications. The bank would be implementing Finacle Ver which is latest and first amongst PSBs. The project aims at providing customers enhanced uptime and better response. The Bank has migrated 22 branches under Finacle. The entire migration is slated to be completed before June The Bank is also taking up the Enterprise Data Warehousing, which is a central repository of integrated data used for creating reports for the senior management to make meaningful business analysis. This would also ensure the organization s information consistency. EDW initiative will ensure better data quality and provide a single common data model for all data interests of various functional units of the Bank. The Bank plans to put in place a system for managing the interaction with the current and future customers by leveraging technology. This will be a platform for fine-tuning service response based on customer inputs and also for improvising the banking solutions with regard to customers requirements 37

38 Information Technology Initiatives e-mandate (Digital Mandate): Services Launched to handle large volume of repetitive payment on NACH platform and to extend ECS pan India basis. Many Payments such as utility payments, instalment payments, school fee payments, premium payment etc. are still being made through post-dated cheques or through ECS Debits which involves physical handling / movement of paper based instruments. epassbook A versatile epassbook was introduced by the Bank. It is a complete wallet of information on banking transactions virtually at the fingertips of the customer 24*7. It encompass a host of value-additions like Holiday Calendar, personal expenses tracker (outside normal banking transactions) and information in local languages [Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu] besides Hindi & English. Information is available in both online and offline mode. POS Machine: The Bank has launched a latest state of the art technology paperless POS machine as a green initiative of the Bank in association with the Service Provider. 38

39 Information Technology Initiatives Special Banking App: Bank also launched a special Mobile Banking App through Android and IOS Phones and Tablets through which customer can avail various facilities /services. TABLET BANKING As an innovative technology driven initiative, Tablet Banking was introduced, where Bank reached out to the customer for opening of accounts. All the mandatory details including photographs are captured in digital format and updated in the CBS via a secured media. On successful opening of account in the system, all the customer-deliverables are served at client s place. MISSED CALL FACILITY This is a value addition offered free of cost to the customers who have availed our SMS Banking facility. Just by making a missed call to a predefined number, the customer receives the current balance available in his primary account by way of a SMS to his registered mobile number. This facility is available both in English and Hindi. This initiative has obviated the necessity of the customer to visit the branch for balance enquiry. 39

40 Corporation Bank ties-up with BSNL & Pyro to rollout Speed Pay Speaking by our MD & CEO Shri Jai Kumar Garg on the occasion launching of Speed Pay. SpeedPay can be used by customers of any mobile network operator and is not limited to BSNL alone. SpeedPay can be used through a mobile App, USSD menu and web portal. 40
