1 Dear Co-workers in Christ, Information and Registration Package On behalf of (CCACA), we would like to invite you to attend the first-ever at Fair Havens Ministries in Beaverton, Ontario, from September This symposium is a call to ALL pastors and church leaders serving in Chinese Alliance churches across Canada to collectively discern the following question: What is God s will for the Canadian Chinese Alliance Churches regarding missional living? Building on the works of past English and Mandarin Ministry symposiums, we hope to have a clear understanding of God s will with regards to global missions and church planting, and how we can obediently live it out in our local churches. Therefore it is vital that as many pastoral staff and leaders from each local church attend this symposium. We encourage all senior pastors to prayerfully invite their pastoral staff and leadership to attend. Dr. Stanley John, Assistant Professor of Intercultural Studies, from Nyack College & Seminary in New York, will address the delegates on Monday night and Tuesday morning to provide a theological platform for our discernment. Working in small groups, the delegates will then prayerfully discern God s will using President David Hearn s model of discernment: Making Prayerful Decisions. The goal of the symposium is to have resolutions that we can commit to following in the years to come. The following will provide you with more registration information. 3 Spouses and Children Representatives and delegates are encouraged to bring their spouses and children along to the symposium. There will be children ministry times during the symposium. Spouses are encouraged to participate in the group discerning processes. Children under the age of 18 must stay in the same room as their parents. If your children (over 18) would like to have their own room(s), each will have to pay the full registration cost of a delegate. Room Arrangements There is limited number of rooms with private bathrooms. Families with young children will be given first priority. Other rooms that do not have private bathrooms will have common bathroom facilities. If you are coming with your spouse or children, we will place you in the same room unless stated otherwise in the registration form. If you are coming alone and have roommate(s) of preference, please indicate that on the registration form. Otherwise we will place you in a room with same gender roommate(s).
