1 Stock Market Project Economics (Povletich) Spring 2016 Name: Brokers make millions and lose millions on Wall Street based on their ability to identify successful companies. You will be taking on the role of a stockbroker to research different corporations, decide on their potential for success, and track their progress over a period of time. This multi-week project will give you the opportunity to fictitiously invest $10,000 into three corporate stocks (yes, you need to spend it all!). During the project you will be asked to identify changes in the market and analyze the outcomes of your investment. IMPORTANT: You may NOT research the same companies as anyone else in your group!! This will be considered cheating and you will earn a 0 on the project. Due Date: We will be working on this project over the course of the next few weeks but you will turn the entire project in on Monday, May 16 (Periods 2/4) or Tuesday, May 17 (Period 7). Late projects will lose 10% each day. This project will be worth 200 points in the project category of your grade so it will make an impact on your grade as you head in to the final exam!
