4 Thomson Baseline -Overview Earnings Purity Trademarked earnings valuation tool that tells an investor to what extent a corporation has relied on exclusions to boost operating earnings. Baseline has also computed Earnings Purity scores for industry and sector composites, allowing an investor to easily stack any company against its peer group. Graham and Dodd Graham & Dodd creates a framework for relating a stock s price to the value of its core earnings. Shown graphically, the investor can determine if the stock s price is high or low and measures price premium over the value of the company's core earnings. *(The Baseline is based upon three things a stock s earnings, its dividends, and the Risk Free Rate of Return; Baseline is earnings driven. Stocks with rising Baselines have earnings growing at a faster rate that the Risk Free Return. Conversely, stocks with declining Baselines are growing at a slower rate and the Baseline is calculated each quarter based only on facts known at the time.) 3

Improved Reporting Capabilities Gain additional insight into what is moving your portfolio up or down. Improved Company Performance and Peer Analysis Capabilities Track price performance more precisely in Price Action charting. View Price % Change vs. the Cash Flow % for the same time period by adding a space and.c after a ticker symbol. This addition enhances the user s ability to track price performance against a full set of per share performance characteristic including earnings (.E), revenue (.R), and dividends (.D). With Stock Compare, you can now enter up to ten different tickers to visually compare stocks, sectors, industries, benchmarks and queues in Price Action charting. 8

Short Interest visually display the trend of short selling activity. Short Interest as % of Float better understand the level of shorting in relation to shares that are free to be traded by the investing public. Days to Cover measures the future buying pressure on a stock. EV/EBITDA one of the most widely used valuation ratios, this metric allows you to assess the value of a business, free of debt, to earnings before interest. 12
