1 2016 General Industry Salary Budget Survey - Canada Results preview Thank you for participating in the 2016 General Industry Salary Budget Survey - Canada. To express our appreciation, we are providing you with a preview of the survey results. Your preview includes data on total salary increases, promotional increases, variable pay and salary increases related to performance ratings. The data are segmented by employee groups, including executives; management, excluding executives; professional/client management (sales and non-sales); technical/business support; and production/ manual labor. The average salary increases are reported with zero-percent included and excluded. The 2016 General Industry Salary Budget Survey - Canada was conducted in late April 2016 through early July The complete results are based on the of 402 organizations and will be available in late September. Key observations For executives and managers, average total salary increases projected for 2017 are on par with what was granted or budgeted in 2016, while nonmanagement employees can expect a slightly higher increase than what was granted or budgeted this year. Annual performance/bonus awards budgeted for 2017 are expected to be similar to what was granted or budgeted in this year and granted last year. Nonexecutive employees eligible for discretionary bonus awards in 2017 may receive a slightly higher award than what was granted or budgeted this year. Discretionary bonus awards for executives are projected to be lower than what was granted or budgeted in this year and granted last year.
