Ms. Shelia Roberson's term expires January, In accordance with the interlocal agreement between the City of Sarasota and Sarasota County for Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Article 5, Section 5.9, the County is to submit a name to be considered for appointment. The County is requesting Ms. Roberson be re-appointed. Application is attached. ADMINISTRATION'S RECOMMENDATION: Recommend appointment of Shelia Roberson to Firefighters' Pension Board of Trustees for a 4 year term. 3 Establishment: FIREFIGHTERS' PENSION FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES Article II, Chapter 24, Division 2, Section 24-21, City Code (1986) Board Membership - Qualifications and Other Requirements: a) The members shall consist of the following: Two Members - Legal residents appointed by the City Commission Two Members - Elected from the Fire Pension plan members One Member - Appointed by the four above mentioned members b ) c ) A new election shall be held each subsequent January 1st to continue the four year staggered membership. The election of the two departmental trustees shall be on a four year staggered basis. d) Four-year term. e ) Financial Disclosure Forms are required by State law.
