My goal with Stock Trader Alert is the same as with Smart Money Alert. It is a system that will help all people regardless of wealth, personal background or financial experience become more financially independent. But instead of focusing on outperforming the market with a portfolio that balances exposure across U.S. equities, commodities and emerging-market equities, Stock Trader Alert focuses on isolating stocks that will deliver explosive returns, while also protecting you from market downturns. Better yet, this is still a rules-based system that ll take the emotion out of investing for you. After all, that s my favorite element of the Smart Money Alert system. Most people s portfolios underperform because they get nervous or giddy, but an algorithm doesn t get nervous. That s the beauty of it. So some months ago, I asked the same brilliant mind behind the Smart Money Alert system to help me create a rules-based stock-picking system that was just as simple and emotion-free as Smart Money Alert. And together we created Stock Trader Alert a service I m truly excited for you to be a part of and help me shape. In our rigorous 10-year backtest, this system beat the performance of the S&P 500 index 10 times over, with a total return of 616% compared to the S&P 500 s 57% return during the same time frame. You can see that illustrated in the chart on the next page. As an easy reference, that entire backtest has been published for you on the beta test website. When you have a moment, I suggest taking a look at the results. You ll find each of the trades made in and out of the model portfolio as well as notations for any dividends or stock splits that occurred while a position was held in the portfolio. 3 Stock Trader Alert Outperforms the S&P Model Benchmark Behind the Stock Trader Alert System This system has a history of capturing steady double-digit winners. For example, it made: 86.00% on Cintas 53.90% on CVS 39.80% on Heico Corporation 32.10% on Brown & Brown 24.90% on Northrop Grumman 48.80% on Chubb 26.00% on Costco 48.50% on Wal-Mart 34.50% on Jack Henry & Associates 33.10% on J. M. Smucker 28.70% on Church & Dwight Co. 4.80% on Walgreens And many more But even though a good portion of the Stock Trader Alert system focuses on pinpointing the next high-flying stock that s not all there is to it. The system also employs a proprietary hedging strategy. As a result, the entire portfolio not only avoided the market crash in 2008, but it actually made money without selling short stocks. 4 1. One half of the portfolio will own the stocks our model has targeted for us. There will never be more than 15 stocks in the portfolio at any given time. See, Stock Trader Alert is based on a multi-factor model that looks at quality, value, growth and sentiment factors within the Russell Using these factors, the model screens and ranks those stocks for us. Then, using a market timing tool, we ll know the best opportunities to buy a stock, when to hold off on buying and when to sell. Using this model means our stocks will have solid market caps and decent liquidity. So these won t be difficult to trade. Moreover, this model means we don t get caught up in the emotional aspect of investing the primary reason most investors underperform. It does all the work for us. 2. The other half of the portfolio will follow a hedging strategy: For this portion, we ll simply follow one exchange-traded fund (ETF). An ETF trades much like a stock does, but they re actually funds that hold a mix of assets stocks, commodities or bonds. You just need a simple brokerage account to trade these. Through an ETF, we get the chance to benefit from practically any part of the market going in any direction. Of course, in our system we ll only hold one ETF at any given time. In fact, at any given time, we ll either be following an ETF that s long or short the S&P 500. So during the bullish phase of the market, we ll have a chance to capture a nice market return. And during bearish phases, we ll get a chance at gains not normally captured in the long-only model. Now that we ve covered the basics, let s get into what you can expect for this service. What to Expect Trading Frequency: One of the main things to keep in mind is the trading frequency. We ll be following our market timing tool, and we will likely be trading multiple times a month. Just remember to keep an eye out for any of my dispatches labeled Trade Alert. That will let you know a timely trade is waiting for you. There will be about 45 trades a year. When the timing tool allows it, I will send you a trade on Mondays after the market closes with easy-tofollow instructions on which stocks I m recommending we buy or sell the next day. During any lulls in trading, I will update you on the portfolio or answer any questions I find in the mailbag. So please send me any questions you have about the system as we start to trade. Reading them is optional. We just send them out to stay in touch. Holding Period: Model eportfolio positions may be held for just a few weeks while others may be held for months on end as we let the stock run. Either way, you ll know exactly what to buy and sell each week based on my market timing tool. (Note: Remember, the model portfolio will never hold more than 15 stocks at any one time.) Again, this is what makes our system so easy and reliable. We ve created a proven strategy that does most of the work for you, so you don t have to be worried about the daily machinations of the market. To Get Started: As a Smart Money Alert trader, you likely already have a brokerage account set up. That s all you ll need to trade this system I won t recommend any positions that can t be traded in a typical brokerage 3

As for how you should allocate funds for this service, you should have at least $10,000 to invest. And that s all there is to it. Use your current brokerage account, allocate the funds you wish to use and simply wait for my trade alerts to start benefiting from this easy-to-use, rules-based system.
